[2.3] CoC Cyclone Discharge Trickster! HC/Level 100 Viable!

oh yeah i somehow missed it that cyclone is a "movement" skill lol.

Btw what did you level as guys? like till 55 what do you use? this skill tree is such a specific one for crit CI that seems like all the spells im trying sucks balls LOL because besides the couple ele dmg nodes early we have nothing :D (i have tabula if that matters)

I have leveled this character multiple times. EK, Firestorm Trap, Firestorm, Spark. Popular spell or elemental skills work fine.

Level hybrid life/es. CI switches always respec out of some life nodes into full es nodes. Leveling full ES is not impossible but its trash.

Nope. It works just fine!

Cyclone puts up 50% res to cold, and -25% to Light and Fire. Discharge puts 50% res to Cold, Light and Fire. You then hit with Cyclone and cause 50% res to cold and -25% to Light and Fire.

Works just fine!

Is the other way around :)

I still try to understand if is worth it.

Normally it Works like this :

1 - Cyclone puts + 25% cold res; - 50% fire/ lightning res.
2 - Discharge deals dmg with rule 1 ON and puts +25% fire/ lightning res; - 50% cold res.
3 - We are back to point 1.

Am I right?
If yes, when we put Swift Killer (Frenzy charges) to the equation, we will always deal a frenzy discharge when the enemy has + 25% cold res.

That is better than no damage for sure.
But my question is,Is it worth it?
Doesn't that frenzy discharge "steal" time that could be used
for more Fire/Lightning discharges?

It would be nice to do some tests and see for sure in action.
when is it good to add blade vortex? i see havoc is running blade vortex level 1 in his coc setup all the time, i saw in the guide it says "if you want to generate charges" but we already generate charges in melee range, does it just generate them more fast more effectively ?

Sorry if this has been asked already! I am currently running Purity of Elements, Discipline, and Herald of Ice. Is this a bad idea? I am sitting at max on fire, lightning, and ice res so wouldn't the Herald of Ice help with damage considerably?

Thanks for the guide!
Apologies, I just found a better understanding of how EE works! The cold damage just sets up the neg resistance on mobs and the damage all comes from Fire and Lightning. I guess i'll switch over to PoL and PoF then just max cold through gear.
btw how is single target dps with this build when you dont have volls neck to get endurance charges? warlods mark needs you to kill someone to get them @_@ same with swift killer frenzy generation :S

Yes I got the numbers mixed up. -50 +25. It literally does not matter. Swift Killer is a boost to damage.

You do not discharge without cycloning. So you will always have - 50% lightning and fire res before your next discharge as you have to cyclone to proc it again which puts it back to -50% light and res.

Just fine for me at 75. Just need a bit of crit chance and attacjk speed and it melts. i'll be streaming some tomorrow so you can see what it looks liek without Voll's and decentish gear. Only at liek 6k es.

Exactly. not worried about the cold damage from discharge. It is a bonus, but charges are great for more damage.
