Multistrike's 3 attacks are not calculated into the tooltip (the attack speed/damage modifiers from it are). Therefore to calculate dps (using my peak dps): (multistrike x toottip) x (1 / attack time) = total dps // (3 x 83,000) x (1/.11) = ~2,263,410



I think that's incorrect. Multistrike is accounted for in tooltip. Try removing the Multistrike gem, you'll see that the attack time will increase.


When you take the multistrike gem out, you see that attack time change from the "94% More attack speed" calculated in (20/20 gem)
If multistrike is changing your listed attack speed, which I'm pretty sure it does (although I haven't played with multistrike in a while) then you would not multiply by 3. In fact, you would never multiply by 3 when calculating DPS with multistrike, since it doesn't make you hit three times per attack, it just makes you attack three times and multiplies your attack speed. If multistrike didn't change tooltip APS you'd multiply your dps by 1.94 or whatever your gem's more attack speed is at.

You are in fact correct, and everything I've said up to this point was incorrect. I was misunderstanding the mechanics. It took me longer to realize this than it should have.

My impression of the mechanic was: It gives you the attack speed to compensate for the attack time of 3 attacks and that with an attack time of .11 (roughly 9 per second), you were actually getting 27 per second, as each of the 9 was a set of three. Which is wrong.

As the actual mechanic is: The attack speed it gives you compensates for the three attacks, however, each single strike is .11 seconds totaling 9 per second. Which would be accurate.

I apologize for the bad information I had given out previously, as this build cannot possibly reach 2.2 million dps, and it is in fact an ~750k peak dps build.

also how are power charges generated with this build?

Now I started with OJ8_Graz's CI build and realize that yours will do better in a group. Time to start a new char and get him to cruel to switch gear.

Is there an option to go without Warlord's Mark, as a teammate already uses Poacher's mark as an aura?

Yes, either don't use it and don't run endurance charges (the survivability with Lightning Coil is already solid) or use Daresso's armor (see Immolation's version) to generate them instead.

Power Charges are generated through the Ascendancy part of the tree in the node called Unstable Infusion. While 10% chance on non-crit doesn't seem like a lot, it's actually more than you think. I can post the math if you want but while in combat it's roughly 1.4 charges per second. In reality, combat is usually done in quick bursts as the mobs die very quickly but on any big pack it's easy to get 4 charges and you will usually have 2-3 at all times.

Vaal Pact is not very necessary or worth it. Especially since if you look at my version of the tree I'm taking the leech nodes on the very bottom of the tree to both give a lot more leech and leech rate.

In addition, with 7 Frenzy charges we are generating a total of 4.5% max hp/second which Vaal Pact would remove, so it's not worth it.

This is a good question and something I hadn't really thought much about. I just did a few maps to try and see just how many mobs were being hit by HoT before I hit them myself but it was quite difficult to tell due to the insane attack speed of the build and how quickly things die. I will look into this more. Thanks for the great question.

My computer is too shitty to use video recording but I'll talk to Immolation and see if he can capture some video.

The build is Atziri viable but punishing if you don't dodge her skills properly. If you're planning to run her a lot I would use a different build as Immolation pointed out.

This build clears maps probably faster than any other build, though, as no other attack skill moves you along the map so quickly. With a mirrored dagger you could bring this build to around 2 million DPS and clear maps almost instantly just by holding flicker and mashing flasks lol.

Labyrinth isn't too bad, just use whirling blades like crazy and get through traps. Izario is a pain but just keep your flasks up and burst him down.

I am running Daresso's Defiance and Chernabog's so I dececided to save some points and avoid the "Written in Blood" cluster due to the lack of energy shield in my build. I took a few alternate routes and grabbed some damage nodes. Just wanted to know if it is still worth reaching for the Nightstalker cluster near Witch side and if there was any major clusters I am missing? Also, is it still worth grabbing acrobatics even though I get lots of armor from Daresso's, Chernabogs, and Abyssus?
Crap, I've corrupted my Daresso's Courage shield without making it 3L :( Is it possible anyhow to make it not corrupted? I'm an idiot :(
