" lolwut. Last league I mained mostly CwC SR WI (Kelvynn's build), and played a lot of HoWA ST, Cyclone Raider and self-cast Flameblast. In the past I've run pure RF (2 versions), Voltaxic LA, non-crit Arc, and a bunch more over the years. While I've never played BV/BF or Discharge builds, I can say that SRS is one of the strongest builds I've played with. I've spent virtually all of my time in T14/T15 maps this league, and I'm playing probably one of the weaker variants. |

I think it's safe to say you can update the block/dodge version to be viable for 2.6. Just dinged level 96 with it and it works beautifully in high tier content. Granted, my gear is somewhat comparable to the stuff you might see in standard, but being able to melt things in T15/T16 maps like you're running dried lake is totally worth the investment.
I'm not sure what the minion damage is at, but I know it's a lot. I'm currently at 6300 life with 75/72 dodge (with Vaal Grace) and I'm overcapped for ele weakness (and I even have 11% chaos res) Current tree: The only difference with mine is I took the Mana and Life node under Heart and Soul (for now) as it's the most logical passive to spec into at this level. Everything else is identical. Current gear:
Spoiler
I decided to switch from Spell Echo to Minion Speed, as I feel it's superior given the 20 minion cap on SRS. They are summoned quickly enough, and I feel they are more effective with this support instead. Plus with flesh offering, it feels fast enough. You'll notice I still use a 5L belly. I've decided to keep desecrate as a main skill (with portal on my swap) because I'm lazy and don't really need anything else in that slot. I haven't found any need to run Vaal Clarity as I have no mana issues sustaining everything. The build starts off at fairly budget-friendly, but getting my hands on some of the jewels, the L4 empower & enlighten and the Alpha's Howl with the SRS enchant wasn't cheap, but they really make the build shine. Hi!
Just want to to say your build looks great! SRS is one of my favorite builds to play in PoE and as a players coming back to the game, I have some noob questions. How important is the blood magic mod on the 6L staff? Which gems do I go for on my 5L (no empowered)? Of all your builds, which build is the best for survivability? Thanks! |

" Not the OP, but here are my thoughts: BM is essential for the builds that don't use enlighten L3/L4 in the aura setup, as you won't have enough mana to cast SRS. Those builds have pretty high life regeneration so you don't even notice it. Plus, on a 6L staff you are effectively getting a 7L. On a 5L, that depends on the build. But basically SRS + Minion DMG + Melee Phys + Melee Splash are the core, and depending on the build you can use spell echo/poison/minion speed/ele focus etc. For survivability, the best one is likely the build he used in Breach with Skin of the Loyal because it has an insane ES pool, but it's also probably the most expensive as it uses meta gear with Chayula uniques. The blood magic ones are definitely cheaper to gear into, and they offer a pretty high life pool with regeneration and decent block. The dodge version is good too, but with less life you are more susceptible to being one-shotted if you can't dodge/evade the hit. Also you can't dodge DD or volatiles.
