Yep. It's really fun! I'm level 92 right now. I have just over 6K life and I'm overcapped for ele weakness. It's tricky though, there are things that WILL kill me so I can't just afk faceroll everything.

Fair enough. That build looks like it might be significantly stronger than mine. I'm debating if I want to spend the regrets and respec into it at some point, or reroll and level into it. Is the gear I have sufficient for the blood magic build or should I get gear closer to what you have in the guide?

Enlighten L2 will let you run all auras with your skill on a 5L. L3/4 will let you use the skill on a 6L. I currently have enough mana for 3 casts, and am using clarity at level 17 so the regen is is enough that I don't have any oom issues.

IMO your gear is good enuf to switch to BM version, altho slight tweaks are always welcomed (and expensive hehehe).

What you will need to think about is how you will get blood magic. I see 3 options;
1) BM gem (NOT recommended)
2) Vagan mastercrafted BM on staff
3) BM passive in tree

If you choose option 2, you will need to get a new 6l staff since your current staff doesn't have an open prefix.

If you choose option 3, that will cost you an extra 5 points on the tree: perhaps consider trading the Tireless cluster near templar area for the BM cluster???

I used the BM (staff) version a few leagues back in HC....made it to lvl 91+89% before ripping to my srs offscreening a Living Blood pack + my colorblindness hehehe. It is an EXTREMELY solid build!

Something else to consider....dump spell echo gem for minion speed gem....try it! :)

Edit:
If you go with option 3, you will lose your hatred+generosity setup. You can still use haste in an Essence Worm ring.

Awesome! Thanks for the reply. I'm not hurting for currency so I can afford the craft on my staff. I could just scour it and and craft accordingly. That sounds like the best option to be honest.

Okay so I don't have time in between jobs to read 30+ pages of forums postings.
Can anyone give me a rundown of how I can start this build on a pretty slim budget? I am doing the starter mortem ST build with pretty cheap gear.
I am kind of bored with it having done HOWA last league and face rolled so much content.
In shorts what's the best option for budget SRS to get into farming high tier maps 13-16?

Devil's 2.4 BM SRS guide in the first post is an excellent league starter. Obviously you will need to work yourself toward end-game gear/jewels, but can still work very well with less. He is actually using it atm, and I have used it on HC as well. Also he did put up a couple leveling trees.

You may want to use firestorm/flame totem as well for the first 30 or so levels. Once you can get a 4l +1/2 minion helmet, go srs full blown + flame totem. When you can, get the flora's gift set for a 5L staff, alt-spam it for +2 fire and get bm on it.....this will carry you into yellow maps, meanwhile save up for 6L staff; either 6l normal and u craft it out, or outright buy it.

While leveling, don't forget to be leveling required gems as well. At some point you will want to be leveling 3x SRS gems and 3x empowers in your swap. Make sure to put the empowers into a 6% haku weapon! Until you get an Empower 4, added fire seems to be better.

I know many folks still think that spell echo is key for srs (I did for a while), but minion speed along with melee splash is a very nice map clearer.

Actually that 5l staff can get into some red maps.....I do Shaped strands on STD with SRS+EMP4+Melee SPlash+Minion Speed+IQ+IIR. So you should be able to do SRS+AF+MPD+Melee Splash+Minion Speed; swap last 2 for Multistrike+Minion Damage for bosses.

Okay im lvl 68, running the BM srs. I am wondering whats the best 6 link without empower? my staff is only +2 fire gems otherwise i think i could use my lvl 2 empower as a 3 and work it out.

Core is usually 3r 3b. SRS, mpd, AF/emp4, ms/multi, mindam, echo/minspd/addchaos/poison.

Added Fire. Empower is only better if it is L4 in a +3 staff.
