The picture is related to the 6 mods on an item giving an orb. You can see the mods to understand which are important if the problem for those claiming not all 6 modded rares give an orb are related to mod-types. In regards to the last paragraph, I dont follow your reasoning. I appear to be living in "Romance Standard Time". You would need "of Hoarding" at 20 to get the 2 Alchemy Shards. Closed Beta/Alpha Tester back after a 10-year hiatus. First in the credits! I have no idea why he has the vendor bit in there, but you CAN sell 1 Orb of Transmutation for 2 Wisdom Scrolls. I think the point was that the components of a transmutation orb sell for more Wisdom Scrolls than the finished product... Which IS a little silly, but I don't really see the harm.
