[2.1] Amazing Crit Reave Dagger - Life/Ev/Dodge - DPS/Survivability 800k DPS/5.8k Life - In Depth
im now 73 and i start to feel a bit squishy atm....on trash mobs its doing pretty well but on boss its another story.im only at 3k8 life atm,i have all the life nods from passive tree exepte revenge of the hunted (20% life from 5 nods) and all my equip have + life, not all hight roll but well....havent find anything better....
some exemple (all at cap resist): i did a caterina master quest and the revived mobs was doing me 8/10 of my hp each hit....they was hiting EXTREMly hard....first enconter of piety act 4,i got hit from is beam, yep 1 hit.it wasnt even a degen or anything, was literaly 1 hit 100-0%.library boss from a zana quest, got hit from is tornado,my life was literaly melting,100-0% is about 1 sec with no time at all to pot.maligaro was a FKING pain in the ass...is chaos dmg was hiting so badly....using sht load of portal overall, gear yourself with crazy life on each part and grab ALL hp nods asap edit: kk tried malakai merci and its the worste FKING experience accros all my character i have ever see......died 3 time on first phase and about 8 on second. i never had any trouble on normal, cruel but merci is literaly destroying me.....lost whole lvl of exp.i had lot of fun with the build so far and it was really really strong but this end of act 4 literaly remouved all the fun i had before that... Will be updating the thread tonight and answering questions! Just hit lvl 96 and I can breathe again :)
In the meantime here is a youtube vid I just uploaded of me easily killing Piety in Shrine after leveling up to 96! Takes about 2.2 seconds. https://youtu.be/J9sG2BFEmTs *Check out my Impressive Life based Reave Ranger Build-Guide - Thread # 1519684

" Im not sure about your fights, how you approach them, strategize etc. Are you cursing, what is your skill setup, and are you doing anything for single target? Adding in concentrated effect with reave or swapping to viper strike with crit multi? Boss fights are never easy, as we progress in maps you will always be faced with do I fight them or leave. Any high level character with even the best gear finds an element of risk in boss fights. So you being 73 and fighting merciless bosses, or me being level 95 with 75% XP pondering whether its worth it to fight vaal in Conservatory, or Piety on Shrine, its always a risk. These fights are not easy and usually aren't steamrolled. If you go in with a plan, use you whatever you can, including curses, skill swaps etc. you can do it! Whatever happens, learn from your mistakes, level up, gear up and do it again. That is what makes POE a beautiful game. *Check out my Impressive Life based Reave Ranger Build-Guide - Thread # 1519684

" Typically i swap viper with reave and add in crit damage (multi). Make sure to curse with vuln for huge damage increase, and pop your flasks same time. Youll kill things much much quicker. *Check out my Impressive Life based Reave Ranger Build-Guide - Thread # 1519684

Hi,
wich is the best and efficient way to level up with that build? thx for nice guide |
|
im a bit afraid after i see every new video you post....on each boss fight you are getting almost one shoot each time you come close to it....there always a little voice in my head telling me to go back to LA-frenzy bow ranger since the clear speed is faster and since you are ranged, you can avoid getting 1 hit.....your build is fun but it seem so dangerous with the end-game content....

" Hey you do what makes you happy. There are people that dont want to play casters or ranged, and this guide is here to help them. Everything is easier with a bow, everyone knows that. However, that dosn't mean its more fun. If you expect to just right click move, right click move, melee probably isnt for you. Im not sure if you have ever fought t14/t15 bosses, but they hit hard on any build and there is always risk. While much of your input has been constructive and helpful, please dont compare the possibilities of this build to others when you havnt made it to the end game. Lvl 94-95 in less than a day, and 95-96 very easily for me running t14/t15 maps with an average of 40-50 million XP per hour. Im sorry you have had a bad time in merciless and this dosnt seem to be working out for you. I can't help everyone and I dont expect everyone to love it like I do. The videos I post are meant to serve a purpose. They show how to use different skills, gems swaps etc, as well as tough fights. Not how fast I can faceroll Gorge. What you see as an almost one-shot, is for me calculated defense. I evade and dodge most attacks, and when I do get hit, mitigate that damage through endurance charges, immortal call, fortify, etc, while having a large enough life pool to sustain whatever damage penetrates my defense. When I talk about strategy and game skill, its partly about being prepared for different situations and partly getting good and comfortable with your character build. Using different gems or utilities when needed. I have friends that swap headgear or chest pieces for different fights. One has several different colored 6L daresso chest's depending on what fight he might be in!! I have a seperate diamond ring just for ele weakness maps. Sometimes I curse, sometimes I use vaal light traps or vaal haste. Just depends. You might consider some of these example's funny or extreme but this is what good players do to give themself an edge. The end-game takes work, practice, and versatility if you want to win with any build. If you just run into a boss room fingers crossed, oh well gona hope for the best, your not giving yourself the best odds. *Check out my Impressive Life based Reave Ranger Build-Guide - Thread # 1519684

Hey, I started a reaver as I have a rats nest and binos alraedy, but I'm still on the edge as to what to go for. I know I'm getting a life version but I am not sure if the addition of Daressos that gets compensated by the shield (due to a lack of resists) makes up for the damage lost if you just use a rare with two daggers? What do you think about the differences?

Just wanted to say thanks.
I've recently returned to PoE after having been gone a long time (Piety was endgame when I played last) and after kind of winging a CoC/Cycloner to start, I stumbled on this build. Based on the videos, this is EXACTLY what I'm looking for and really, its not that expensive if you don't go with the Acuity gloves and do the budget setup you listed. Having a simple and fully functional unique weapon, to me, is a huge benefit of that weapon is affordable. Which Binos is. It seems to me this build can be geared up enough to be very functional for about 3-4 Ex. Chest and Binos.. The rest is great and definitely adds, but it seems like the build will map through the mid levels just fine, allowing you to farm up for your other items easily. I have the build in the low 30s, running Reave + Faster Attacks + Added Cold Damage (no idea what is most efficient, its just a gem I foundcurrently while puttering along) and I have the 3L setup on the, I forget the name, the sword that gives skills lv1 Multistrike. I'm using a dagger in my offhand instead of a shield because currently I don't need the defense. Once I get to 38 and can use a regular Multi I'll optimize from there. To anyone just starting this build out, Reave really starts to pick up in the low 20s when you can 3L with faster Attacks plus an additional damage adding gem.of.your choice. I leveled with a bow to 21 or 22. I may pick up a Tabula to lvl with. Anyway, great build, I can't wait to get it into the 60's when I imagine it starts to 'feel' like its finished version. I have a Rat's Nest, I just need to pick up the other stuff. My plan is to buy two chests, one 5L'd already and one not. So.I can use the 5L and just dump fuses trying to 6L the other as I play. I did have one question for you.. What gems do you consider the most important to have +% to Quality? I have my Reave at 19% but I'm not super familiar with what other gems would I be best served by having quality? Thanks man, great build, great guide, much appreciated. |
