[2.4] zSavage's Poison Hurricane (Crit Poison BV)[Budget Friendly][Assassin]

Another update here, as I did my first Atziri kill of the league (prophecy) today.
Gear and Flasks I used for the kill

Note: This is the same gear and setup I run normally. I didn't change anything at all for the run.
I have nearly 5K life and 10K armor currently with no flasks.

Current Passive Tree (lvl 87, 8 Ascendancy Points)

General Atziri Tactics:
1. Dual Oversouls: Spawn them both at about the same time. Stack up BV while waiting (I maintained ~36 stacks). Get one to about half, whirl to the other, damage till he goes down. When either comes up again they will be very low; finish them off.

2. Trio: Prestack. Isolate and kill the dualstriker first. DO NOT attack him while he is glowing red; it's like VMS and is flat damage per hit. Once he's down, take out the ranged one. Leave the Cycloner for last, and use enduring cry and immortal call to facetank him. He melts fast.

3. Atziri: Stack up to about 30 or so stacks. Go in, use whirling/walking to dodge stuff. She will change phase pretty fast. Pick any split EXCEPT the mirror, and sit on it, then dodge the initial round of attacks. It will usually die of poison while you're not next to it. Repeat until Atziri goes down. If she ever goes into heal phase, just sit on her and stack up your BV.

->It's important to note Atziri doesn't reflect blasphemy-ed curses, so Warlord's still works.

My replay of my build is going very well this league. How are you guys doing?

Unstable Infusion (Assassin Ascendancy node) gives us a 10% chance to gain a power charge whenever we don't crit. Since blade vortex hits very fast, this node alone easily generates all the power charges we need.

hi zSavage, using the build in HC and i am at level 69 self found most part.
I found Daresso's Passion to be a decent weapon alternative, in this league there are ton of it so easy to corrupt with culling, massive phys damage buff for boss fights and frenzy charges to cover the loss of that buff when fighting packs.
zSavage, what kind of jewels would you go for if going after rare ones? i have an extra 2 jewel slots soon (level 92 in couple days) or would you add other unique jewels?

On a rare jewel, I would look for some combination of:

->Life
->Critical Multiplier (that applies to our spell, in some form)
->Damage increase(s) (physical damage, spell damage, spell damage while holding a shield, area damage, etc)
->Armor (though this is more of a secondary thing, not a priority stat)
->Attributes (esp dex; if you can get enough dex you'll be able to drop a 30 DEX node and thus land an extra passive)

Does anyone know if:

http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Singularity
and
http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/The_Blood_Dance

would make the build better? the extra damage must be ridiculously good?

"increased damage" would effect everything right? bleed/area/phy/spell/poison?

Its worth adapt the tree and go CI?
This may be posted earlier, I tried looking but got tired of the poison v added fire argument and decided to just post haha. Wouldn't Added Chaos Damage be a better 5th link support than Controlled Destruction? I think it was suggested as a 6th link, but I believe it is better as a 5th link.

Spoiler

Controlled Destruction (lvl 20): damage value * 1.4 (yes, up to 10% increased spell dmg but that's honestly relatively minor)

Applicable to both: 50% area damage from tree + 42% spell damage from tree + 60% spell damage from dagger (going low cause I only have 61% on mine) = 152% increased damage

Added Chaos Damage (lvl 20): 170-256 = 213 average * (1 + 152% + 86% increased chaos dmg from tree) = 719.94
Blade Vortex (lvl 20): 108-162 = 135 average * (1 + 152% + 199% increased phys dmg from tree) = 608.85

Added Chaos Damage gem does more damage than Blade Vortex itself. For the 5th link, Added Chaos Damage is more than double the damage instead of 40% more damage. Additionally, you recover 100% increased crit chance lost to Controlled Destruction. I'm not saying CD is a bad gem for the build, but Added Chaos does a lot more damage on the initial hit in addition to all your poison stacks.

*Yes, I ignored duration and crit because those are outside the scope of calculating the base damage

-----------*Edit*-----------
Why don't you get the "4% increased spell damage per power charge" node right above the Witch power charge? That's 20% increased spell damage (at 5 charges) for one point, which is very efficient. (based on the OP tree that includes it, though your Prophecy lvl 87 one doesn't have it)

-----------*Edit 2*-----------
Again, based off your OP tree, why not grab the Assassin power charge node? It's only 3 points away and gives a 17.5% overall damage increase.

Spoiler

Original Tree:
crit chance = (6 + 5*.5) * (1 + 1.2(low dagger) + 3.85(tree) + 2.5(charges)) = 72.675
crit multi = 1.5 + .75(tree) + .08*5(Deadly Infusion) = 2.65
effective MORE multiplier = 0.72675 * 1.65 = 1.199

Additional Power Charge:
crit chance = (6 + 6*.5) * (1 + 1.2(low dagger) + 3.85(tree) + 3(charges)) = 81.45
crit multi = 1.5 + .75(tree) + .08*6(Deadly Infusion) = 2.73
effective MORE multi = 0.8145 * 1.73 = 1.409

1.409 / 1.199 = 1.175

And that doesn't factor in the additional poison damage (9% of hits have 100% more poison than previously) from Toxic Delivery.

-----------*Edit 3*-----------
After swapping out Controlled Destruction for Added Chaos, changing the north Physical half wheel over to the Chaos side results in more damage as well, factoring in the "5% of physical as extra chaos" bit. As a bonus, you get 8% chaos res for free.

Spoiler

Physical half-wheel:
Modifiers
86% chaos dmg (tree)
50% area dmg (tree)
199% physical dmg (tree)

Added Chaos Damage (lvl 20): 170-256 = 213 average * 3.36 = 715.68
Blade Vortex (lvl 20): 108-162 = 135 average * 4.51 = 608.85
Additional Chaos: 135 * .25 = 33.75 * 5.37 = 181.24

Subtotal: 1,505.77
Poison: 150.58 * 3.04 = 457.76 * 2 seconds = 915.52

Poison: 152.14 * 3.65 = 555.31 * 2 seconds = 1,110.62
Total: 2,631.98

-----------*Edit 4*-----------
If you take all 4 adjustments (swapping out Controlled Destruction for Added Chaos Damage, grabbing the spell damage increase per power charge node, grabbing the Assassin power charge node, and swapping the north physical half-wheel for the chaos side), you get a 91% more total damage. This is assuming that the fight lasts long enough for the full 5.48 second poison duration. For one-shotting white mobs, it's 70% more damage. However, it does disregard the 100% more poison damage on critical hit from Toxic Delivery because I just didn't feel like doing that math at the moment (getting excited about this build and want to go start a new assassin for it).

Blade Vortex (lvl 20): 108-162 = 135 average * 4.51 = 608.85
