You have not taken the Sovereignty node in the templar area for reduced mana reserved if you cannont run 2 curses and another 35% aura (e.g PoF or disc) -inc area of effect is largely wasted as blasphemy with the inc area nodes from the tree already hits to near the edge of the screen, anything further then that is obsolete as you cant cast your totems on them ^^

Thanks, you're right and I'll know better than to doubt you now. Here's an illustration for anyone who wants to understand the mentioned curse/EE combinations better (sorted by damage and resistance):

It's taken from an improved version of the spreadsheet: https://goo.gl/FrbMbm It doesn't have equipment and other things yet, but I'm adding them.

20% increased Damage per Curse on Enemy stack with RF on a totem?
Be the hope of humanity
Changes to the new DPS spreadsheet: better format, items aren't broken down separately, only requires entering gem levels now instead of the raw values. It should be reasonably accurate because I've entered the examples used in this thread and it comes out the same. There's hidden columns with details about the calculation, click on the header to unhide.

The spreadsheet should be useful to easily check the actual DPS and see what changes to items/passives/gems would do. To edit, go File—Make a copy… or File—Download as.

Screenshot of the spreadsheet in full.

Dual curses with inc aoe is only 98% of your mana reserved with no reduced reservation, I know because I've tried it.

By not working I meant that it's not practicable to not have mana for things like other curses, Flame Dash etc.

The new spreadsheet looks really good man its much more concise and easy to read now :)

Ah Ok I see what your meaning, a trick to get around that is link your high cost utility skills to blood magic. You have enough regen to be able to cast little spells off HP and it means you can reserve all of your mana bar without having to worry about the value left.

Is how I have my setup (note you only get 1 blood magic gem from quest rewards as a Scion but I had another 2 drop. If you dont have any drop you can mule one easily with a Marauder/Templar/Duelist by doing the library quest A Fixture of Fate in Act 3.

Thraxeus.
I've added the damage increase from Summon Flame Golem to the spreadsheet.

Using this ring now for +1 curse (Enfeeble)
Hi all,
Thanks for this build, I am following your leveling trees to the letter in Talisman (SC). I watched your video a couple days back and it made me laugh so hard I had to try it out! This is a very interesting build, and a great proof of concept. However, I'm now level 65 after a couple of days of leveling and I'm not sure about things.

Its great to be able to use RF on totems and not worry about life degen, but it seems like I am placing totems A LOT. and by a lot I mean every second, and that second or so that it takes for the totem to get RF going when placed on the ground is a real bummer. Is there a way to speed that up? It seems sooo slow clearing out places as I have to drop totem, wait, drop another, wait, move, drop a totem, wait, drop another, wait, move, drop.... When it takes time to drop a totem, and then more time to wait for the totem to start up, that adds up to a lot of time sitting there.

I seem to need to be right up in the fight for my curse "auras" to affect things. Which means I am getting hit a lot. There doesn't seem to be much damage mitigation mentioned in this build. How are you all dealing with getting hit a lot? I love melting things very quickly, but I get hit once and its most of my HP. (I only died once and it was during a Hiku mission.) Random talisman guy hit me and I had 6 life left!!! That was soooo close lol.

I seem to have a lot of empty gem sockets with this build. As far as I can see you only mention the RF totems, a movement skill, and a blasphemy setup. In reading some past posts in this thread I see Vaal lightning trap mentioned. Any other suggestions? Some meat shield zombies and specters? But they will not help much with no damage from anything but the totems. Still might take some attention away form me, heh.

Thanks for the build, and sooo cheap. Playing totally self found with the exception of needing to buy a blood magic gem from someone (but then later found a quality one!!) and melting everything. But that's probably about time to change. It might be time to buy my "End Game" gear now.

Edit: Oh, I forgot I bought my gloves last night from someone for 1c, lol still a cheap build!!!

It was mentioned in the original post, that you can use CWDT Immortal Call with Increased Duration + Enduring cry. I'm personally using Enduring Cry with blood magic and the Immortal Call setup, and it's kept me pretty safe against most physical mobs. Vaal Lightning trap is really good with no links as a way to trigger Elemental Equilibrium on bosses and particularly scary uniques.
Hi, i ripped a level 85 with this build, and leveling again 75 atm.
Not an expert, not the OP, but can answer some of your questions :)

for me, the speed come from the totem damage.
So i have 4 jewel +totem life, 5L with rapid decay, bought a level 19 spell totem (more level do a shit ton of damage). i've Vaal the level 20 spell totem, give me a level 21. insane damage from that.
Need still a doryani.
level 75 at the moment, melting everything up to T 6-7 map.
quality on spell totem increase the speed of casting the totem. dont have try that but it can save you some time.

With blasphemy level 18 (i think) i can cast a totem, stay near the border on a side, my curse cover the entire aoe of RF.
With a Cwdt setup with enduring cry, tempest shield, and immortal call to generate the endu charge, i feel relatively safe.
Of course 2 instant life pots help a lot.
never stay in place, always run to avoid non phys projectiles.
you can take the +1 curse in the template, and a +1 on stuff. with 3 curse, flam, vuln and say temporal chain or enfeeble, it add a lot of survivability too.

with a cwdt setup, you dont have so many sockets left.
you can add a setup with curse on hit // ball lightning, 2 curse on blasphemy and Purity of fire.
Or take out PoF, put a resit totem and minion gem in a 6Link, and have a 3rd blasphemy curse.
secondary weapon with fast attack and whriling blade for movement is good for saving gem slot too.
have seen some setup with searing bond, offering another free totem (since a last update), and a good synergy with the passive tree.
i've also a chaos golem for mitigation with minion life, on blood magic and minion resistance when i have the good socket color :)

i think you need more life on gear, your rolls are pretty low for some item.
Like you say, we dont have a lot of mitigation, so life is the way.
try hitting 5k5 at least to stay alive :p

here's my stuff actually : link and gem are not definitive, trying to roll good colors :)

hope it help, and sorry for my bad english :)

Since you're playing SC, there's more leeway in maximizing dps, which makes up for the delay after summoning the totem. It still won't be as fast as certain other builds, but that's the price for cheap equipment and immunity to reflect. My current SC build has 140k dps normally at level 81 (still some way to go), 180k with EE, 195k with Concentrated Effect added for bosses, and adding in Elemental Weakness would push the max dps to 250k (calculations). I don't have a lot of life, so I use an Enfeeble aura to stay alive; 3 curse auras in total (2 damage and Enfeeble) and Temporal Chains with increased AoE cast manually.
