[2.0] Fire Lord (1M+ peak dps)(CI, Incinerate, VMS, Pledge, Scold's Bridle, Emberwake, Taming)
Treating penetration as a 2 or 3x multiplier against super high res stuff is fine when comparing against other support gems. However, you should just assume enemies have 0 res and calculate against them. This will give us an idea of the true DPS against 0 resist monsters, and furthermore for purposes of comparison this is close to the worst case for the fire penetration gem. If it still wins here, it's definitely going to win against enemies with resists. Treating penetration as a multiplier on your base damage, and then ignoring resists is just nonsense. Good think you acknowledge that yourself in the DPS section. Another thing you forgot is that echo is x1.8 and not x2.
Last but not least, if you really cared about DPS you'd do the +3 staff+empower thing I said, but from your video you clearly have more than enough DPS. It would just be amusing to instagib everything in 6player 81-82 rotations. Taming+Emberwake OP. All my builds /view-thread/1430399

" No need to be rude, especially if you don't understand all the mechanics being used here. Scold's Bridle (the helmet) hits you for 4x the mana cost of each skill you use. Incinerate is cast 21x/sec with echo, but you only pay for it every second cast, so VMS explodes on every second cast. This build legitimately has 1M+ dps, but that's simply because of emberwake+taming. I play CoC discharge, and would have to spend more time killing Wasteland Voll. All my builds /view-thread/1430399

" Nah, I prefer seeing damage output against capped monsters because it is worst case scenario for me. I can literally feel that when fighting them. Thing is... with capped monster you have very high multiplier when trying to find out dmg increase from Fire Penetration but then u have to count with resistances anyway (in this case it would be result x 0.25 in order to get real pure dps). If monster would have lower resists, you would have lower multiplier from Fire Penetration, right? But then you would have better multiplier when doing final math for resists (>0x25). EDIT: It is worth noting that I did the math in steps and explained them. You said u want to see calculated dps against monster with 0 resists but its all there. Just ignore lines calculating increase from Fire penetration and Celestial Judgement. It would be 86396,8 from Incinerate x 1,02 (Celestial Judgement) + 274852,48 from VMS x 1,4 (Celestial Judgement + Fire Pen gem). That's 472918,208 against target with 0 resists without many things included (Taming+Emberwake, cast speed from Vaal Haste, -resists from Flammability, Gang's Momentum, Celestial Punishment etc). your gem setup on Pledge so horrible... seriously it's just bad.

" He literally doesn't have any other choices but to use mana leech. He would need 300 mana/sec with out it. He can't use elreon jewelry, because the point of the build is unique jewelry. To sustain incinerate without the mana leech gem, he could get like 5 jewels with 5% red mana AND spec into 20% red mana on the tree AND run L20 clarity AND get 200% mana regen. Mana leech sounds very good at this point. Furthermore 21.5k tooltip on incinerate is very solid, you could kill uber atziri with just that amount of incinerate. But the incinerate damage isn't the pain part of the DPS on this build, the VMS is. Furthermore, your totems don't get huge increased damage from emberwake+taming.
