Ice Nova
Currently lvl 31 on a hardcore ice nova build... like my 9th attempt at it. When I see videos of people with freezing pulse or anything bow-related dropping groups in seconds, and there I am being mobbed at melee range as I pump out 6-7 novas to kill things.... it definitely needs a boost.
Kilts for Templars <tm> - Our mission is to replace the ancient Greek toga worn by the Templar with a kilt. It fits the theme of Wraeclast better, and it fits the voice of the Templar.

" Yea I feel you. I'm using a q20 Ice nova, and a q15 Increased AOE connected to concentrated effect, added lightning, increased crit strikes. My spec has a lot of crit chance (running about 45% chance to crit with ice nova) So literally everything I hit gets shocked/frozen, but even then, its stiil feels weak in comparison to some other builds I have. On another note, ice nova's particle effect doesn't get bigger whenever I get increased aoe. That should definitely be updated because I'm hitting mobs a mile away and its not showing the particles even coming close to them. I'd really like to know how far it hits |

I like ice nova. Much like the quote, you can turn this skill into a very effective killing tool. I'm working on a build right now that works great with ice nova. You need to utilize fast run speed, fast cast, and lots of crit. It's great because you can spend time trying to dodge enemies because unlike freezing pulse, there is no need to aim ice nova, just cast and forget. It's definitely a glass cannon build, but this is PoE. Kill first or get killed first. Doesn't need a buff IMO. It will just make it even more powerful to people who know how to effectively use it. There is one disgusting thing about Ice Nova (and Shock Nova too).
When you bind it to mouse 1, it prevents your character from running at all. I guess that's because you ain't need to target anything with such spells. This issue, while not affecting general performance of a spell, is a huge pain in the ass 'cause people get used to their binds. As far as I remember, this issue is from as far as Closed Beta 9.x.x, so it should be finaly fixed. Beware of the man who works hard to learn something, learns it, and finds himself no wiser than before. He is full of murderous resentment of people who are ignorant without having come by their ignorance the hard way.

I'm using Ice Nova as my main spell and this spell needs a buff asp. I love this spell but as the ppl have said before on this post core dmg needs to be buffed and the mana cost reduced. PLS fix it. |

I am currently 49 in HC and using Ice Nova as one of my three main skills (Shock Nova and Spark) and probably would have dropped the skill at Act 2-3 Cruel if it wasn't for my dual curses (Elemental Weakness + Frostbiste) which made it still somehow viable (2-3 casts for most monsters). An average dmg boost would be highly welcomed.

Ice nova should give a buff to the user when cast.
Something like "for each enamy hit by the nova you get 3% more armor for 1 second" or "Ice nova does 5% more damage for 5 seconds on cast, this effect stacks with itself up to 25% more damage for 5 seconds" It is very dangerous to cast and in it's current state it has no niche outside races. So basicly either make it safer to use OR reward the danger in using it. |

I am currently Witch lvl 30 ice nova/freezing pulse as a party build (2 players)
My role is to assist my tank buddy as a mass kill double curser + unstopped aura bonuses. It´s enough to take like 6-7 hits for me to die. I´ve been reading the feedback and I must agree on at least 1 thing - Ice Nova feels weak. Higher dmg to close combat seems to be missing. DEATH & THRASH

Can a dev make a small appearance here. I would like to know if they thinks there is a damage problem with Ice nova, because the community seems to think that way, including myself.
