and to think I already liked it, both what it said on the skill and how it worked, and now it actually works a lot better, wow!
now I want to go dual curse and add elemental weakness and rape mobs with my gmp/chain triple elemental attacks xD

when I read about the fix in the patch notes I was afraid for a nerf, not a boost xD

This curse is great for low base_crit_chance weapons with huge damage, like two-handed axes or swords. If you focus on critical multiplier and rely on the curse alone to boost your crit chance, it will nearly double your dps. (for example with 5% crit chance, 700% crit multiplier, a 10% quality lvl 15 Critical Weakness will increase total dps by 80%-90%, depending on your accuracy). With crits that do 10 times more damage than a regular hit, you just need to get a crit to kill the rare/boss outright :)

I think critical weakness is the best DPS curse ingame, but it depends on the other skills and passives you use.

Currently I am going for a pure physical high crit ranger who uses critical weakness to burst enemies down.

The point is, that crit damage on its own scales increadible well the more you get. You have 2 factores which multiply with themselves and if you multipliy both factors(critical weakness) you will do truckloads of damage.
Crit weakness is the best curse in the game if you invest in a crit build.
It affect all damage types (no other curses does that) and if you have 95% crit chance (i do) this curse simply DOUBLES your dps. Non other curse can double a dps.

Spec out of some of that crit chance so you aren't wasting 5% crit. That's like 50-100% increased crit chance that could be put into multiplier.

though admittedly how you're getting... What is it 850% crit chance while being playable is beyond me.
