At the end of the tournament, we will award the prizes in the Hardcore league on a character that we add to your account. If you want to transfer these prizes to the Default league, then just kill that character.

Dry washes hands...

...but probably not. I probably won't be able to make this one, but it should be interesting to see how many different strategies people employ to increase their odds of winning at least one prize. Plenty of ways to win on this competition; I like it. Good luck to those participating.
I love the idea of weekly competitions, but can we get some rotation on time? I don't usually get to finish work until 4am Sunday morning (NZ) :(.

Lets not do that, this current time rotation allows people in the US to have an opportunity to play also.
It's very hard to find a time that works well for all timezones. If it's any later than this time, all of Europe is excluded. If it's any early, New Zealand and Australia can't play. With the current time, we hit the early morning in NZ/Aus, the middle of the day in America and the late evening in Europe. Only people in Asia have a rough time (sorry!)

Having said that, once we run more events we can try to vary it up so that everyone gets a chance.

But, do this - take a high level character, take off its MS boots, and have it run from Act 1 Normal to Ruthless, ignoring sidequests, without attacking anything. If it doesn't happen under 2 hours, you know nobody is winning this mirror.

You have to kill at least 2 of the Bandits, Hillock, and the Weaver on Normal and Cruel. With a high level character you could easily breeze through all of that in less than 2 hours. Not an accurate test. The only way to test it properly would be to actually do it for real.
event is nice ,but here in Bulgaria this is 11 pm ,you have to change the time to start sometimes.
Yay, again a saturday evening ... So people in europe with some social life on weekends can never take part in this ladder races - good job! :)
I know it's hard to find a good time, but how about to rotate some days for this contests?

I think compared to the last ladder race this one might be way more interesting as there are certainly ppl going to go more solo to ensure their chance or grouping up trying to get the reward fast to decide later who will get the reward (which is not sure that they get it as there is no way to see if there is not another group already ahead of them and going to finish faster :p )

Imo i think that ppl "should" take that race solo, ofc each can group up to reach higher lvl faster, but the chance to get a reward gets lower the more groups go for it.

I'm going to try my luck and hope we can find out if it's possible to reach ruthless in that time .. -.-' don't think so ... but ok .. good luck all and have fun all .. cya
There is always a way.
If not ... let's make one ;D

That's exactly my thoughts. It doesn't have to be on saturdays (don't want it on fridays and sundays too).
He who fights with monsters
might take care lest he thereby
become a monster.
And here I were hoping for a signed PoE t-shirt... oh bummer ;)
