Oh, my bad. You actually can't exalt that. Item rarity rolled twice (as a prefix and a suffix) so it had 6 stats already. Sorry if I got you excited.
If your chain split arrow doesn't work on cold resist mobs, you can always trigger EE with your IIR/IIQ split arrow. I pretty much only use that for most packs now since they die so fast. " Yeah but I love my life regen and with Kaom you easily get to 600+ HPS which are untouched by something like BM. You don't see it really when all goes well but during those "oh shit" moments you're fully aware that you're HPS are running free to get you out of the hole you just found :). Moreover you can get to those figure and use those sweet XX% auras that are usually not possible to use that way. (At least atm you can run flat ones on life through covenant and % through mana) Add to that your usual LL / LOH and your survival dramatically improved. Yes mana is much harder to arrange but god it's awesome. p.s: Anyone said purity 35-40% resists and 85% max elem resist too? ;) |

I actually use LA + LMP + Chain + LoH as life regen attack, it gives me such an absurd amount of life once it hit 2-3 targets or even a pack. With LA I can even shoot at a group of those Templars with Lightning Thorns. Im curious tho on the Split Arrow + Chain + LoH + Blind combo, because so many people seem to love this combination (is blind rly that good? I don’t even know what it does on mobs). It’s actually hard to figure out if the EE is triggered on a burning mob or not.. As I got rid of Wrath and Reduced Mana now, I have a completely free 4L helmet. What could I put in there? Here are my ideas, feel free to add your own and criticize:

- Bear Trap + Phys Dmg + Stun + Added Fire (for holding nasty mobs in place and a lot of single target dmg) - Detonate Dead + Spell Totem + FC + Area of FX (against Necromancers, who can be really annoying) - Elemental Hit + Weapon Ele Dmg + IAS + Life Leech (as strong single target attack with LL) - Quality Conversion Trap + Increased Duration + ?Area of FX? + FC (just for the bare fun of it) - Lightning Warp/Leap Slap + FC/IAS ? + Red. Mana + ? (for quick rescue moves, or if Quicksilver flasks run out) - Summon Skeletons + Spell Totem + + Minion Life + Totem Resist (an option to Decoy totem, especially against map end bosses) - Devouring Totem + Area of FX + FC + Totem Life (also against Necromancers and for some extra life regen) - Dominating Blow + Meele Splash + Culling + Duration (for weapon swap with Double Brightbeats, just for teh lulz) - Shockwave Totem + Inc Area of FX + Faster Cast + Stun (To hold nasty mobs, like skeleton roas, off of your exile ass) or finally: Ranged Attack Totem + Split Arrow + Blind + ??LMP/Chain/Stun?? " I would highly recommend a Ranged Attack Totem + Split Arrow + Chain + Blind It is absolutely amazing. It tanks, works on mobs and bosses and is great solo or with parties. If you have ele damage on gear it also triggers EE. I started running with 3 different split arrow setups, the totem with blind, one with iir/iiq and culling strike, and one with chain and loh because I get scared sometimes and want a fallback (though I hardly ever use it... but since I'm on HC I don't want to die) Also you are lucky to have at least 1 exalt, I have yet to see or hold one myself. I plan on starting some 66 maps today so hopefully I will get one! |

It's actually really rare to drop pure exalts, u will most likely find items that u can sell for exalts. I just found 1 exalt once since I play POE (almost half a year now)
Is chain really necessary in there -> does it chain the blind effect? Ill try the Blind Totem and as it needs the same colors as the Elemental Hit combo, Ill go for the combination that I like most. I just made a SICK (in my opinion) deal! This quiver for 2 GCP. It overcaps my resits to 154, 111, 103, -35. With four Endurance Charges that will be +25, so I can do pretty much any -% ele resist map. Maybe will sell my old one, if anyone is interested:

Chain is really useful because it lets you hit the mobs behind the ones in front. It also will let you hit the same target ~10 times with each volley if every arrow hits. This pretty much blinds the enemy instantly.
Blind is the most underrated support in the game atm. It is a -75% chance for the enemy to hit. Any non-caster boss in maps can just be tanked by the totem from 100% to 0%. No point in trying to 5L your quill if you already have a 5L carcass jack. Ideally you wouldn't spend a lot of chaos on maps. I just alch and run every single map except for "minus max resists + ele reflect" and "no regen". I've been mapping a few days like that and have gotten 10 level 70 maps, a good base of 66/67 maps, and a fluctuating supply of 68-69 maps. I run 70 maps whenever I get 4 chisels from drops.
If you feel like spending money, a high quality chance to ignite, 20% explosive arrow, and a high quality fire pen are all great investments. That level 20 ranged attack totem will tank like a champ for you. Mine is only level 18, and already it lasts a very long time. " Problem is that I don’t even have any Chaos or Alchs left. And I don’t want to run lvl 69 maps blue. I think about selling my ex for 11 GCP and then buying some Chaos/Alchs, just as I need then. But those Q-Gems are really expensive I guess.. I could maybe buy one of them with my exalt, if Im lucky. Yeah the Totem tanks quite well against melee attacks, but it dies really fast against all kinds of elemental based attacks, fire Skelettons for example. |
