just got my kaom. seriously...i am loving it. :D my hp is 8050. i can tank most mobs and look out for drops while they burn. lol.

i dont use life leech too. i use LA + LOH + chain + GMP. 1 hit to regain all my hp. if there is a 5L chest...i would recommend knockback. its far better than chance to flee or blind. :)

i took away my burning damage nodes. and replaces them with life nodes. now i am 8461 hp. lol. the reason why i took them away is because i dont wanna "burn" them to death as that wont proc my IIR/IIQ. i put in both MF gems to maximize farming. now...my question...if given a choice...would u guys put in a "concentrated effect" or "fire penetration in the last slot? :)

But yeah I found with quality faster attacks and ias quiver and quill and be seeking like 6 aps pretty common to her on shoot myself dead

I wouldn't use a 6L without Kaom's. Conc Effect adds a scary amount of damage, so without the added hp from Kaom's, I'd be too scared of reflect.

I don't NEED to do more damage. In fact I don't WANT to do more damage.

This is simply because I already one shot most mobs with a 5L (meaning no Conc Effect). The addition of conc effect will push my damage over the top.

The whole concept of maximizing damage is irrelevant. If I replace something with LMP or GMP, I'll kill myself on reflect. Why should I care if I already do enough damage to one shot everything?

Also, the reason I use Quill Rain is because I care about getting the 5 fuses stacked as quickly as possible. I have tried messing around with a +2 to bow gems grove bow. Yes, the explosions do more damage, but, since they take longer to stack, the end result is that the killspeed is basically the same. Plus, using Quill Rain rather than a slower bow means the Life on Hit skill (Split Arrow or LA) is much more effective.

If you want to compare, I actually ran the numbers. A 6L Quill Rain with all my gems at level 20 will do 25k damage from a single 5 stacked target (assuming the burn occurs). Now, I don't know about you, but that's enough damage for me. In fact, if you aren't careful, it's enough damage to one shot yourself on reflect... So there is a REASON why I don't use LMP/GMP.

Finally, I think it is extremely impolite to come to someone's thread simply to insult their build and post your own.

Edit: Two more things:
1) Your build is for softcore. This one is meant to survive in hardcore.
2) Have you looked at the docks farm video from the build you were inspired by? I'm astounded he was able to survive that long. I don't think there is any way he'd be able to survive higher level maps with that kind of play.

Few things man your assuming your going to 5 stack on an ele reflect before noticing? Also I play a fair bit of group play and the toon is soft core due to Internet restrictions and the like. Big comment ill say is for my hc variation drop all fire nodes until very very endgame your damage is sound and it allows you to stack life and don't use shocks of any kind. The fire debuff can then become your guage.

Elemental reflect

For ele reflect maps with minus resists (again softcore) I just buff temp chains not flam replace fire pen with life leech and take my time clearing the maps, for ele reflect packs just a few volleys followed by chains I'd imagine our damage is similar pastrami but for me it's the negative gearing their resist that make reflect so dangerous (even before kaoms) still had like 5.5 k health or something. Which between 5 shot volley / LA for ee/ / flammability is enough mistakes at my End that I'd feel I deserve to die lol

Also: I also much prefer quill for 90+ faster projectiles is really nice also (wasn't mentioned before), not to mention how much scaling your ias can mean for your survivability due to high base combined with loh spam skill

I don't plan on stacking one, no, but I have had it happen by accident before. Since I play on hardcore, such a mistake would have probably meant death if I had conc effect as well. The fire debuff was always my gauge. I literally have zero fire damage nodes (only the burn damage nodes--which don't reflect back any more damage). But yea, you do have a valid way of doing it as well in my opinion.

Explosive arrow is the best with quill rain, it seems like a waste of a good bow when it is used with this skill since EA is all about the secondary effect.

I would like to suggest that if your EA build is having problems in early game try wearing some gear that adds elemental damage(especially if your using quill rain early) or get traps. My EA build is at 71 using EA with LMP,IIR,IIQ, don't have the 5l rolled yet to add chance to ignite.

Whenever I come across reflecting elemental damage monsters, I just throw traps like it was a bargain basement sale(2 fire traps(chance to ignite, fire penet)+1 beartrap(added fire)=9 traps to fling around like grenades) it works wonders since traps don't get reflected. Once the minions are gone reflect monster not bad at all.

If you don't like running get a decoy totem also, there great for bringing the monsters round for a quick dinner. Also it might be good to make sure your character can run at 35% movement speed.
