Explosive Arrow Marauder (Updated for Release)

I'm following this build since the beginning of Pastromy's post.
I ensure you that this build is more than viable and still work at this time.

Never really have any prob to level (since i'm in SC) and mapping is also reachable.
Knowing my playstyle is cautious and "not in a hurry", this buid really suits me.

Never done before, but i take the oppurtunity of this post to thank Pastromy for his help.
Maybe somebody can confirm also here me these calculations:



Initial hit:

Initial hit dmg = (1 stack x5) * (1+ % fire dmg + % area dmg + % projectile dmg + % elemental dmg)

OR

Initial hit dmg = (1 stack x5) * (1+ % fire dmg + % projectile dmg + % elemental dmg) * (1+ % area dmg)



Burning dmg:



Burning dmg = 80 % of initial hit * (1 + % Fire Dmg + % Burning Dmg + % Ele Dmg) * (1 + %DoT)

OR


Burning dmg = 80 % of initial hit * (1 + % Fire Dmg + % Burning Dmg + % Ele Dmg + % projectile dmg) * (1 + %DoT)

OR

Burning dmg = 80 % of initial hit * (1 + % Burning Dmg ) * (1 + %DoT)

Fire/elemental/projectile/area damages are all additive, and all apply to both initial hit dmg and burn dmg (so essentially double-dipping), while burn/DoT damage are additive to each-other and to all the other damage scaling types, but obviously only apply to burn dmg.

Are you sure that projectile damage applies to burning damage? It indirectly increases burning damage because of the higher explosion damage, but does it also affect the burning damage as a multiplier after the base dmg per second is calculated?
From what I understand, fire, area, and projectile damage do indeed all stack additively for both increasing the explosion damage and the burning damage.
Hi Pastromy, I was wondering if this build still works? I just rolled a 6L Quill Rain and am interested in trying it out :) Is there anything you've changed up to now? Also, is single target good? I can't stand that most bow builds can't single target...

I'm not Pastromy but in my opinion this build is still very good (and equally important TONS of fun -- igniting whole rooms full of monsters and watching them burn is awesome :D). I currently have a level 88 Marauder in Nemesis with a slight variation of this build. The only map mod I cringe at is no regen. It's still doable though.

As for single target damage if you have enough chance to ignite (>70%) it should be fine. You can also experiment with concentrated effect for insane damage (especially single target) but this might lead to issues with reflect if you grab too many damage nodes. As an aside let me take the opportunity to thank Pastromy for this thread. I had and am still having tons of fun with EA. :)

Thanks for the confirmation :) Just got to 61 on this and heading to bed for the day, having a lot of fun but haven't quite got to the point of one shotting yet, I can kill white packs easily and only resist fire rares are a problem. I figure that when I get a higher level EA (mine is only 16) the damage will scale insanely like I've noticed (I hope).
It definitely does scale insanely with level.
Do u think EA is still a good choice for startin the ne ambush league?
