Erm 12 pages and nobody mentioned my first thought on the ring.
Ggg are always very specific on item discriptions, and this ring clearly says "your SPELLS have 100% chance to shock frozen mobs" So slap it on a crit FP or and cold skill crit build and boom instant shocks. You can use added lightning to up your cold Dmg to improve your chance to freeze too | |
so obvious uniques... boring at least.
whats next, unique sets with 400%more damage 30% damage reduction? cmon GGG we know you can do uniques with more unique mechanics. hyped for act 4 and loving the game anyways, because there is a lot of unique uniques already in the game :D |

Holy shit, Kingsguard looks awesome!
Stats aren't that great, but the mechanic is intriguing. How will the life gain work with Zealot's Oath? Since it says "gain 100 life" I assume it won't affect ES, and you'll just get 100 life instantly. Just wanna make sure. |

According to the community uniques are either
a) Boring or not particularly unique in their effect b) Game-wreckingly OP c) Vendor trash I'm not sure if it's just a reporting bias where people who aren't happy are more likely to post replies, but I for one think these are both pretty cool uniques. They're strong in the right build, but not so strong that they're a must for the majority of builds out there. They're definitely not vendor trash, either. They're exactly what unique items should be IMO. Good stuff GGG and the unique designers. |

State of the Beta #7
" Something to keep in mind when you're done hyping about the ring ;D |
|
" Wut, what about Chris regen amulet ? Also for everyone saying the ring is broken, increase damage modifier take place AFTER damage conversion so you can't double/triple/quad dip in any way. |

vendor crap, useless for marauder

" but to proc Herald of Thunder you simply need to have shocked, shock duration isnt important if thats what you are trying to do, the shock even being strong enough to apply to the mob isnt important. Merely that a shock took place regardless of any duration is enough to proc HoT and then the lightning bolt rain from a heavily supported HoT backed up by HoI will freeze and shatter mobs, dealing your damage, using 3 dragons I believe. Theres builds like that, they run around simply proccing shock for nothing more than to trigger their HoT, actually having a shock big enough to apply and stay there is irrelevant. HoT got a nerf right? Im not sure if the added damage to spells from the new weapon mods is enough to replace that loss, if those builds will still work or be worth playing but right now they exist to the best of my knowledge and are somewhat effective. Its not the sort of build Im interested in playing myself but Ive seen cha playing variants on his stream and links to other such builds in the forums. They may be supporting HoT with added lightning and added cold or something, I dunno the details tbh but theres something there, and its a thing whatever it is. |
