New Unique Items - Kingsguard and Call of the Brotherhood!

this ring smell like a good item for the new elem unarmed glove.
Forum pvp
Super nice ring to go with a freeze build. Does that mean there are rings for all 3 brothers to keep in contact with each other? Would be very cool if 2 (or more) players in a group had this ring that their auras were shared with each other across a much farther distance.

Since this is NZ does that mean these brothers consider these rings to be their "precious"? I sure hope that some day GGG will wise up and stop gating these quality drops behind such a super low rng chance (drop rate) because of their "precious" economy and all the BS about trying to protect it.

Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.

Really? I think they've almost gone too far making most uniques available and cheap. I found Alpha's Howl last league, yay it only sells for like 10c now, previous league it was 4ex. Same goes with plenty of other uniques.

Furthermore - in this game, the amount of highly viable builds that can be made with cheap gear is STUNNING.

Furthermore - currency is so easy to farm, not hard to have a 6L and nice uniques by end of 1st week in a new league, just by selling your orb drops...

What's the big problem?
expecting kage helm next update.
hi, i dont understand that game!

That Chest is amazing. Thats for sure, but .....

looks amazing. but i am playing as hybrid ... wtf. why i want to get life? i Need energy shield, when my charges are gone :)
why not gaining 50 energy shield instead of 100 life per Charge ...?

Actually drop rates are too high now. Hopefully GGG never takes your advice and increase the drop rates, most people think the game is too easy and needs to be more difficult.

Your comment is 100% bad advice, drop rates need to be significantly less if anything.
The ring is cool and unique, it's the little son of Pyre. I like the concept, and it's not op compared to a good crit ring. It will allow a diversity with specific dedicated builds.

Call of the bortherhood: 8/10

Kingsguard is either AWESOME or either BAD, i dont know.
100 hp is not a lot and it needs fast "consumption" of the charges or a big pool of charges.
Discharges crit dagger ? Mjolner ?!

Yeah but if we compare voll's protector and this armor in a coc build, voll's protector is probably better...

The voll's mod "Gain a Power Charge for each Enemy you hit with a Critical Strike" is faaaaar superior with discharge. It cannot be compared with the "power charge on critical strike" gem.
The armor scales with the aoe to an infinite amount of charge per crit, the gem gives one charge per use of a skill when you crit.

So now, for the endurance charge generation? Endurance charge on melee stun... But how to use them? Immortal call ? discharge?

Is enduring cry still a spell on beta or a warcry?

If it's the case, there is ONLY one way to build thoses charges fast enough, voll's devotion + romira's banquet........... AGAIN!!?!?!

It becomes boring, it's always voll's devotion which is "needed" or "game breaking".

The armor/es base is very bad for a melee endurance charge stacker.

If we can generate and lose 3 charges per second, it's 300hp/second...

but the sacrifice to achieve this result looks ENORMOUS o_o, a simple regen build would do better for a lower cost of items and nodes ! it's only potentially good with romira's banquet and voll's devotion, with discharge or immortal coc.

The only way to use this armor... is to use the "best in slot voll's devotion"?
To me it looks like a very bad design with a very weak result.

Kingsguard is either bad or half bad, 3/10 or 5/10
I will never be good but always I try to improve.

Wow... I know I'm in the northern hemisphere (opposite side of the globe from GGG) so my Self-Found playing of PoE since CB times has earned me only a half-dozen 5Ls and 0... I repeat ZERO 6Ls. If I add up my time played on my builds it has to be in the several 1000s of hours so all I can say is WTF! You must be playing a different version of PoE than me.

Ok, I confess that you are a typical masochistic no-lifer player (any stronger language will get this post censored but quick) and based on that understanding I know that no amount of content difficulty or loot starvation is ever enough for you. For every million players there are probably more than 1000 different views of what the ideal loot drop rate should be. I also know that the standard stock reply is "RNG is RNG" and that "RNG is streaky" while technically true it is not at all a satisfying answer. Neither is a loot drop setting ala the original D3 (version 1.0) where Whimseyshire dropped too many great items too fast ("loot galore" as I like to call it). Even TL2 had the loot drop bar set too low and in the end all I ever kept in my stash were set items. Somewhere in the middle between starvation and loot galore is where PoE needs to be. Aha, but which end of the loot drop scale GGG should be placing PoE at is a never ending debate and a "can't please everyone" conundrum for GGG. I personally profess to wanting a higher rate of return for time played but I know others still in for the duration disagree. Most argp players looking for a better quality drop rate arpg are in the "I tried PoE once" camp and so are not here anymore.

But if in my SFL style of play with no problems getting builds into the 80s (so I'm pleased with content difficulty and will be in arpg heaven come July and awaken to a PoE v2.0 that has next to no desync), and I have much currency in my Standard League stash so currency orb drop rates are good right where the bar is currently set, in all that time from CB to now that I've never gotten a 6L item to drop (and it's most definitely not from too few hours played), then clearly there is something fundamentally wrong with the RNG coding (not surprising) and the phrase "Obiwan Awakening... you are my only hope" keeps echoing in my mind as I play.

If the answer is "you must equip with over 200% MF" (or 300%, 400%, etc.) than that is also a PoE failure and I'll get in line fast to request that GGG eliminate the increased % MF factor entirely. If, on the other hand it's the 4 to 6 party players that are more likely to find 6Ls (indicating a team play bias toward quality drops) then that too is a PoE failure and GGG should fix this imbalance in version 2.0. The likelihood of a 6L drop should be no better or no worse with solo play or 6 player party.

So if anyone wants to PM me with a great deal on a 6L weapon or chest, great. If all you want to say is I'm a bad player or a lame player or any other negative... just don't, thank you.

Finally, any reply to my post telling me to "get gud" or "get out now" is not welcomed.

Have you ever thought that maybe the solution to your unhappiness and problems is......trading? I've never found a 6L by myself (except for 6 tabulas), but when a new league starts I usually have one (through trading) after 1 week.

You want GGG to make it easy for YOU to have a 6L through self-found play, without consider that maybe such an action could make it TOO EASY to get one through non-SF play. The majority of ARPG players trade; it makes the game much more exciting to most. I suggest either quit complaining, or start trading.

If you did trade items, you'd realize that GGG has taken considerable steps to make almost any unique affordable to a player (except for a select "small handful" of items). Something like Bino's for instance - farm for a few days or a week and it's yours. Most uniques have plummeted in cost.

Once again, by insulting this person you fail to realize the distinction between playing SF and non-SF. There is nothing to suggest he is a no-lifer...maybe he just ya know......trades.

The ego and gall of a self-found player wanting all the uniques and a 6L....it's laughable.
Awesome !!
