Or somebody who has some common sense to test it out and clarify how it works, i'd also imagine the person who designed it knows how it works. To me it sounds like if you lack mana for casting a melee skill, it will succeed regardless.

Does the mod only refer to gem costs slotted in the axe?


Im guessing its not limited to the weapon since it says melee attacks. But most melee classes run BM so their mana is all reserved

I would have thought, melee attacks will use the resource, but if not enough, it will still fire, rather than "My mana is spent" for example.

Exactly, now BM isn't required (build depending) so mana can be utilised.

And for BM gem users, no change except a free gem slot and no life cost.
