unique items *no longer updated*
If you don't have the inclination to use the multiplayer implements of the game, and find that your game experience is robbed of "worth" without unique items, I would recommend waiting for someone to sandbox the game, and hack a single player offline experience for you. Until then, greener pastures etc etc etc.

Not sure why you keep mentioning MMOS, the whole gear and trade system in most of those games is completely different so it's not really relevant.
Anyway, whether you like it or not, most people play games like this one to get the best gear they can possibly get through farming and trading with other players and the entire game is designed around that concept. This means you'll never get the best character by playing solo and and ignoring a major part of the game and you shouldn't expect any different. Still it's currently not that hard to play through the entire game without any help or trading for the best gear. Are you actually having problems getting through the content? | |
" I'm not unsympathetic to your desire to increase unique drop rate slightly but asking for special treatment simply because you choose to ignore one of the major aspects of the game is completely illogical. It really doesn't matter how many other people play the game the same way as you do; the game was designed as a multiplayer game and will be balanced as a multiplayer game. While you are certainly free to do so, choosing to not take advantage of the multiplayer features of this game is just shooting yourself in the foot. |

" I'm currently on the third difficulty, three quarters of the way through Act 1. It hasn't been all that hard yet, which is surprising since I came into the beta without so much as glancing over the passive skill tree and I don't feel yet that I've made any decisions worth regretting or repealing. My Ranger is level 46 now, I believe, with a DPS of somewhere around 760, and I have what feel like some solid gem arrangements, such as Pierce and Increased Accuracy supporting Elemental Hit; and Life Gain on Hit is tied to Rain of Arrows, which is lovely in crowds, following liberal application of Projectile Weakness. Leveling aint that hard, untill you hit chaos, then you will learn your mistakes. You cant just pick a random build and go farm chaos, doesn't work that easy

Unavailable Got this about 30 minutes after my first hardcore character death, I like to think of it as the game offering me condolences. Originally it was a single green socket but I got lucky with a jeweler's orb. It's the second unique drop I've had, both on my minion build witch who had about +135% rarity at the time of the first drop and about +175% for the second.
