Bloodlines vs Torment... Cross-league events

I think it's a good decision to get some actual participation. Honestly, who cares if the supply is a bit lower on bloodlines, you can still get decent gear if you put in the effort. There is so much self babying when it comes to pvp here.

I put in the time and effort to make two equal characters, both very geared in torment and bloodlines but this still is good news to me because of participation.

Even Torment players are here supporting this, so hopefully that has some meaning to GGG.

I can't possibly see them denying this request when it helps give reason to pvp from bloodlines. Forcing your playerbase to pve in TMT to pvp is not a good decision in the first place. But doing so late, only five or so days before the pvp season start? This solution is the least they can do.

Bloodlines/HC pvpers are also important and did their fair share to develop pvp. It is unfair to leave them in the dust like this. Especially with a solution so easy to implement (as it already works that way for racing).

Another short notice post doesn't surprise me much. Let's not forget that 30% additional flicker nerf 48 hours before the first season started. Maybe it was needed, and maybe this is as well. However, this should have been announced about a month ago AT LEAST. Hell, why not allow both SC and HC leagues to participate as well??

Putting the leagues together MIGHT be a necessary change. It might have also just been noticed recently by the amount of participation in the new leagues. This also is a problem. Several of the players I know and talk with often(HC PvPers)aren't even competing because they, like myself, don't want to go through the time and effort of putting together characters over and over in leagues. This has VERY little to do with PvP,and almost everything to do with PvE,and just acquiring items.

Some people have school, work, kids or all the above. Some people just aren't into farming up items over and over. Some people aren't into re-leveling over and over. That may not seem like a big deal to some, but think about other PvP games you've played. They are able to be picked up and played versus another player when you want, without a month of leveling/gear farming first. By nature,PvPers in games with PvE also, dedicate less time and don't want to "grind" to always play what they enjoy. I know of several racers who only race. They get to do this because, the racing is fair and easy to just pick up by ITSELF. Why can't PvP get the same courtesy?? Open the separate realm and item generator discussion floodgates.

Not much from me on the forum these days, ever since Yeran_GGG decided to go all "forum commando" on me and edit and delete every post I had made one evening. I guess my opinions didn't fit his idea of what was "on-topic" for that thread, hopefully it's different this time ;/

I feel this way as well. It seems necessary to make the events have a better flow from more people participating.

I don't understand the people posting for sympathy in BL, acquiring gear there has been exactly the same as torment from my experience. It's just a matter of effort. From a quick glimpse, most will assume its harder to gear for pvp / lld from a lower amount of players, but if you actually search for gear the gear is there. The few pieces you need to craft, doesn't really make much differences from supply of the common uniques.

No one is forced to do anything. People that want exclusives will feel forced though. It's a good change to potentially increase the amount of participants and people interested.

I can't understand why anyone would feel threatened. If you only played 1 league, you gained being able to attend both sc and hc events. If you played both, now you can use your better geared character for all the events.

only noobs play HLD, lol
It's hard to remember what you have forgotten

Why are police looking for missing people? None of them were missing last time I saw them
What items do you actually have to itemize you don't craft yourself?

Two pieces? Three at most? It's not gamebreaking and searching on xyz, there is gear available for fill in any missing spot. Lower the requirements and compensate for a missing stat to craft on. Gear can be acquired on both leagues just as easy.

And for the common uniques it is the same story. Endless 1 alc / 1 fuse / 8 alts / 1 chaos trades for these to vaal.

I don't think many people are arguing completely against the merging of the leagues -- it was something that needed to happen (I'm actually pretty excited to have a more active queue). It just needed to be done with a little more thought and consideration for preserving some difference between the leagues (because there are differences).

The economy in Bloodlines is significantly smaller than Torment. Take for example the supply of Prismweaves: right now, poe.trade shows almost double the amount of Prismweaves for sale on Torment as there are on Bloodlines. Granted, these are mostly the overpriced belts on both leagues that have been picked over by the bulk buyers. For me, the limiting factor in rolling a Vicious/Mercenary's bow on Bloodlines is the supply of Prismweaves. I've only been able to gather about 130 of them over the entirety of the league (and if I picked up the few remaining overpriced ones, all that would do is significantly raise the cost of the belts I have to buy after that -- there would still be a shortage), and I'm still running a Vicious/Journeyman's bow (139% IPD). Yes you can still hit top hybrid in 20 belts or so on Bloodlines, but if RNG is not on your side, you will not have the same opportunity to burn through the same amount of belts.

You might argue that a 139% IPD bow is "decent" enough, but hitting Mercenary's is the single biggest upgrade I can make for my character.
