Remove xp penalty's from death
" Didn't someone mention before that just because people don't add to a thread doesn't mean the agree of disagree. Well apparently many forum trolls have told me in the past, the GGG didn't even want to make a cap. But they did. What makes u think they bothered to test how much 10% xp loss is for a level 95. It makes sense at lower levels, not on the higher levels. And the reason the whole place scenario was brought up was to prove the theory or "no xp loss = more loot from harder maps" really u can get a shavs running a level 70 graveyard map, or a lvl 78 map. That's why this game would work without the penalty. This isn't world of Warcraft with boss specific loot tables. All loot can come from anything, as long as ur killing monsters. In order to get loot you have to kill things, and if u can't kill things then ur not getting loot. With or without the penalty. Standard League

" Correct it isn't wow, however there are specific boss loot tables and ilevel restrictions on items, not to mention zana's map mods, which means you CANT get all loot from "just killing monsters" you must invest time into builds to do certain difficult things or money into zana mods. Forum troll sounds like anyone that disagrees with you or your view. XP penalty won't be removed. Actually someone else can kill for you and you can still get loot. That's a pretty trollish reply, Goetz.
Atziri is the only boss with specific loot (that I know of). All loot does come from killing monsters (or vendors, I guess). And did you just suggest someone try to get carried to 100? Absurdity proves nothing. There really isn't good justification for the exp penalty. |

It will be many of the same builds as right now. But will give more people the opportunity to do end game maps. And thats what WE want, to help Path of Exile grow and make GGG more money. It also removes some of that requirement to "metagame" the system just to waste a little less time due to efficiency concerns or worrying about leveling.

How about simply, the game's creators felt that death should be discouraged. They decided if they did this it would make it more frustrating for casual players who hit a wall in their limited play time where rerolling is difficult but felt that it held the integrity of their game. That to them it was important for people to spend time making a build where EHP was just as important as DPS to the point where it might cost them income.
The vision of your game is weak death penalty or none at all, there's many games out there for this mindset. Why does every game have to follow this philosophy? Why is it a sin that GGG cares more about their product than how much money it's making, as long as it's making enough to stay afloat?
