Remove xp penalty's from death

And that would be an issue..why?

It would give people the excuse they need to roll a new build, or afk (if the player has to stay logged in for the timer to count) in town while they get some work done around the house, or go outside and stretch their legs, ect ect. There is really no downside to encourage players to try new things in-game, or take a break and refresh themselves.

So you guys have the knowledge how to improve any builds to make them immune to desync?

Ok I like to play cyclone CoC toon, but I was desynced so badly so I refused to play ever again. So ok, enlight me how to make him immune to desync so I wont die on it

You are so qualified in this stuff, you know when desync occurs , right? So why not you make a video when you desync at high levels with hard map mods to devourers, or to crowd of mobs to show us n00bs how to survive? With explanation of you *improvements*. With showing the gear and how much you need to buy all that.

Take that cycloner and archer as an example and show us you desyncing and you are able to survive. But not desyncing video in a merci ledge with 100 lvl char please

You have 2 choices: play with dsync or not playing at all.

If they remove xp penalty people will respec their characters immediately.
Players will be running courtyards with 1.5k hp, minus res and 500k gmp setups. You have CWDT? Why? It's pointless. You can setup your cast on death+portal insted.
You using flasks? Why? Equip 5 quicksilvers and you're ready to go. Curses? IC? Shields?...

If you're so angry beacuse of dsync just quit then, i know, it's really annoying when you die for no reason but stop defending this stupid "remove exp penalty" theory, it's not going to happen.

But a lot of people would respec that way. You need to understand that a significant portion of the playerbase, one which isn't that large in numbers but very large in economic impact, view increasing their loot/second while farming as paramount, and all other things take a backseat to that. They might care a little about XP, but only to get more passives to loot faster. Furthermore, this power farming population is very influential in opining on which builds are "good" or not and helps establish the metagame, which other players copy. So you would see a paradigm shift towards higher DPS and away from survivability if you just removed death penalty.

But I think they'd still use CWDT. That part was kinda silly.

Be productive and give as your solution then instead of bashing on players in every topic from alt account, i've read some of your "wall of text" posts and i didn't find any good suggestions, just random babbling. If you disagree with players posts that doesn't mean your are right.
For all those saying "must be your build". Really? So we should build around not knowing whats really happening on screen? We should build AoE nuke characters because thats the only reliable way to hit anything? And we should all have to build tanky, right? Fuck build diversity and player freedom, right?

I personally think there SHOULD be a death penalty, but one that doesnt punish blindly. I also dont think it should be XP that is lost. I personally think you should gain xp at a rate of 50% for 20% of your current level. That way its still the same 10% penalty, but it doesnt completely rape you of your time and currency already spent. Instead it just increases the grind to the next level. As of right now its not JUST an XP penalty, its an XP, Map, and Currency penalty. 3 Penalties for 1 death is absurd. Anyone who has accepted that they are no longer going to level isnt affected by it anyways. So really, the only people the XP penalty affects are people trying to level. MF cullers, Atziri Runners, and Trade Whores dont feel any negatives from death.

You should build a character tanky enough to withstand minor desync, however if you KNOW you desync more often you should do all of those neat little trick THAT OTHER PLAYERS DO when they have issues with desync.

\oos macro
quartz flask around packs of monsters, roll this with movement speed and you have a quicksilver replacement.
CWDT, this one is kind of a given, especially on melee characters


As for the 3 penalties for one death argument I don't see how any of that is truly relevant, with the exception of XP, the whole point of the tread is that the XP penalty is too much, not that you lose a portal or currency (whatever that means)

If you ready anything I wrote, you wouldn't say something so foolish. I doubt you could even name the 2 primary things I suggested--and why--without going back to dig through them.

So you can die 5 million times and still level up eventually, right?
