Suggestion : XP GAIN/LOSS || OFF / ON SWITCH
I'm just gonna point out that if you attach the XP yes/no choice to the instance, problem solved.
Still think it's a daft idea, but that arguement that you can 'just switch it off for bosses' has a few holes. "But we still had a lot of fun, please don't think this comes from hate.

This should be an option at the start of the instance. But I also think there should be a point in the map when u say "i pressed my luck enough" and feel like a death is coming and can just turn off xp for the rest of the map.
So some rules could be "You can only turn XP From ON to OFF one time" So that choice is either before the map is created, and maybe 1 time during the map, so once u turn it off, you cant turn it back on for the rest of that map. And I understand why some people think "switching xp on and off for bosses is cheap and ruins the fun" No it doesn't, it anything it makes the fun more accessable to those who are too scared to try it. This isn't meant for a level 65 to farm 78 maps for drops and dying 6 times. This is ment for the Higher levels who could do the maps, but just feel a little uneasy risking hours of work you put into your character. This is basically a fix for higher level 94+ to get some extra "0% grace period" since you get that 0% only every few days or week. If I get home from a party on friday night, and want to fuck some shit up, so I hop on my level 98.5 and go have a blast. The issue, is that I was playing with FUN on my mind and NOT SAFETY. And the next morning, I wake up hungover and realize i lost 20% the night before. 8 hours of constant 78 rotations, down the drain. Let the higher level players have the choice of when to be competitive on the ladder, or take the night off and try all the crazy RIP maps that you vaaled lol Standard League Lokailith - Level 100 Max Block Static Strike Marauder. This thread is getting funnier by the minute. Freezing XP. Whats next, dont like the boss, turn its damage off so its easier to kill because it cant hurt you? Lol.

" If it TOTALLY disables xp and loot for ALL players then I don't see how it can be abused. But so long as someone can get loot without risking XP then it is NOT fine. But if a 100 is with two 95s, all loot should be disabled. If any loot drops, anyone can get it or the 100 can still give it to the 95s. |

after thinking about it : Yes I know that No XP and No Loot should go hand in hand. But This game's loot system isn't around the toughness of the enemies. This game rewards those who play for long periods at a time. Currency drops ect. So this game, pretty much shows that as long as you are in the game and killing stuff, you have a chance of getting a mirror. So because of that, the thought of that NO loot will be dropped is not sitting well with me. Maybe When you turn XP OFF, then Special Bosses will NOT drop the special unique loot FOR ANYONE (ex: Atziri, And any other bosses in the future with an exclusive loot table) I see no reason to limit the other loot from dropping because as i said before, this game is based around "as long as your playing the game and killing monsters, you have the chance at a mirror". " No, the whole idea of this game is to get loot and experience. But you risk losing experience, or some other progress, while trying to get both experience and loot. If you turn off experience and focus on loot, it defeats the purpose of that death penalty. You're avoiding it, and thereby abusing whatever system that does that. |

Avoiding the death penalty? If everyone does what you say we would have a whole lot of level 1's.
Thats a little exaggerating but pretty much that is where the downside of getting no xp is. Yes you can abuse the system, but ur never going to level then. So choose Loot + XP or Loot No Leveling Which is a very nice trade off. GGG if you are lookin for a hire, hit me up. In the USA Standard League

Um what I said wasn't meant to be a troll.. This whole thread was not made as a troll. I had a good idea that could increase the enjoyment of they're hardcore leveling players.
Since GGG has created and is constantly developing this game, they count on the opinions and comment of the players for whom they are catering. Just put the idea out there.
