Mechanics thread
"Well, I crafted a Goddess Scorned to try this out, and it also blocks damage from totems and traps. Did not expect that, but I guess GGG saw this little exploit coming and made sure to quell it. I guess a 100% Fire damage Bear Trap would be rather OP as hell. | |
" I'll try to make some sense of it. The wording on ancestral bond is somewhat different, it says 'you cannot deal damage with skills yourself', tehcnically if you use a totem (or more arguably a summon), it's still you dealing damage but through a proxy. If you get XP for a kill it technically means you killed it, and it can be by yourself or through other means. A thin thread to hang on, yeah, but I got no better one. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

GGG might want to make the wording on Scorned a bit more clear, like adding a thing about minions, to avoid confusion and other people wasting their resources on trying this. It only cost me a Chaos+GCP to test, but for some people that may be a lot of money :>

Scorned explicitly says you can only deal damage "with this Weapon". Neither Traps, Spells nor Minions use your weapon to deal damage.

Minions can still deal damage while you have The Goddess Scorned equipped. Totems and traps are using your skills with your stats, and therefore cannot deal damage - minions are using their own skills with their own stats and are unaffected.

Does anyone know the base range of Leer Cast, particularly in comparison to other auras?

When using CI ghost reaver, is life leech cap based on 20% of theoretical life or total ES?
„I don't give a fuck if it was his tenth anniversary with his goddamn neckbeard...“ „If they think I'm going to let them sweep this pizza guy thing under the rug...“ No mod action. Business as usual. Last edited by Odoakar#1827 on Sep 14, 2013, 5:16:51 PM

I know that an item's level determines where it can drop (for example, a Skean has a Level of 28, so it can't drop in areas with a Monster Level below 28), but is there a cap as well?
Or could I, theoretically, kill the boss of a Level 77 map and end up with a Glass Shank. Granted, it'd be an iLevel 79 Glass Shank, but it's still a Glass Shank. :\ |

" you can and you will find ilvl 79 items which has no level requirement xD |
