Is it possible to leech life and mana with spells? If so, why do melee attacks only leech with the physical part of the damage?

The only way to leech with spells is by adding the Mana-/Life-Leech support gem. If you add those support gems to your melee attacks you will be able to leech with any kind of damage.

i'm using bear trap and conversion trap with my bowman. both are linked to added fire dmg.
yeah i know fad does nothing for conversion trap but i thats the linked gear i have. i throw one each in front of me, move to it, then rinse/repeat. i notice when i throw the 2nd set of traps, the 1st set immediately goes away? it's waaaay before the 30sec is up. WHY? for the bandits quest in Cruel, i was thinking of using the following traps: bear, fire, conversion lay 9 traps (3each) around me in a circle and within the radius of my anger (+fire) and wrath auras (+lightning). i click 'kill bandit' and watch all 9 traps go off. Is this possible? if not, WHY NOT? |

You can only have three traps down. There's a Passive that increases that by 1.

Can someone with the inside knowledge from GGG explain how the damage calculation works for Freezing Pulse with LMP/GMP when the target is hit by multiple waves and the waves trigger Shock?
Lets say I do 300 cold, 100 lightning damage per wave after all talents and support gems. I roll a crit on a mob with zero shock stacks. My crit multiplier is 300%, and the mob has 0 cold and lightning resist. How much damage will I deal? Does the damage from each wave happen in succession? Can a previous wave apply shock to change the damage for the next wave from within the same cast? |

All hits are calculated in sequence/succession. You'll be wrecking shit dead in no time.

My bow with 10-24 cold isnt chilling any monsters in Act2 cruel even with ele dmg skill nodes.

Yesterday I notice that when archers in docks chill you using ice shot you cannot dispel chilled effect by using potion with "dispels frozen and chilled".
