I got hacked and lost everything, all high lvl chars stripped off i can't play game anymore, and i wont start again. Sad part is i don't even know how i got hacked i never visit shit sites or use duplicate passwords, and i am the only one using this pc. Funny part is i play wow for 5 years with the same password and i was never hacked with no authenticator, and in poe i get hacked in 3 months :)).

Mate I'm the same. Never been hacked in my life and never use or even visit shit sites.

My account got hacked and my character got raped. With all my main gems gone (as well as all valuable yet not vital items), I can't continue playing even if I wanted to.
What am I gonna do? Use level 1 Heavy Strike gem on my pretty much naked, level 66 Cold Witch?

Really sucks. Didn't want to stop playing this game, but I've been forced to.

Oh well, back to my PS3 and occasionally some SC2...

I live in Idaho, in Nampa, a suburb of Boise, but every time I play in Boise, the un-lock email tells me that I'm trying to play in Portland Oregon... not sure what's going on.

Hi my account was not stolen but i read this article and i have to say its complete bullshit that it is your fauls if you get hacked.
I am programmer and i do this for 20 years, i can tell you immediately 20 different types to get passwords and datas from users without having to go to other pages or give away passwords to a other person.
And every programmer who has experience in his job and in computer or web security can do this.

Of course its good to change passwords, dont download from or visit untrusted pages and formatting your computer in certain intervals

BUT THE ONLY THING THAT PROTECTS YOU AGAINST HACKING IS THE ANONYMITY AMONG THE MASS OF INTERNT USERS.

If a hacker knows you and wants to harm YOU PERSONALLY than you will be hacked.

You dont have to do anything for it and you cant do anything against it, except to turn off your internet and never go in again.

My opinion about this theme is: if you dont help hackvictims YOU help the hackers to damage the real players.

Hackers have a social disorder, they do not steal to enrich themselves, they steal to harm someone else.

If you restore hacked accounds hacks will go back because no one will be damaged.

And i think if anyone spend money on your game he has the right that you help him
