I received this PM too, and it almost fooled me. Luckily I noticed the URL -- pathofexiie.com -- just before entering my account info.

So if i click on his profile(here), can he still steal my acc? Not click on the faulse link, just see his acc here, when is registered and previous post.

my account was hacked today, and julie emailed me saying that they can't do anything about it. i read through this thread she forwarded me, and i was shocked to see almost everyone blaming the victim (reminiscent of the old "she was asking for it, see how she's dressed?!"). regardless of what you may think, i have never done any of the above. i like how people say "after extensive review of all the hacking cases" and "almost every case is because of victim's stupidity." show me data to back those claims up; i assure you, if this company does not have the ability to track items and return them to their rightful owners, they do not have the ability to discern whether my password was broken or my computer was compromised. please stop talking out of your asses.

regardless, i use a different password for most every different account i own. as i have only played this game a few hours (lvl 20), i have never posted my account specifics anywhere, never bought items from a website, never used a cheat program, never even SPOKEN about this game to anyone else. i also frequently run multiple programs to ensure the safety of my computer. i do not go as far as to reformat monthly (that's just being ridiculous), but after contracting a trojan some years ago, i take great care with my computer and what i put on it.

don't sit there and call me a moron and an idiot and a crybaby because it hasn't yet happened to you. thanks for a fun game, grinding gear, but i will not be playing anything else you develop until you take greater care with your user's security.

I got hacked today and GGG told me they can't give me item back ANYWAY !

if roll back took all my items how do i get them back? or if i was hacked? i just dont get it.. i have nothing but orbs now

The fact that they basically say if ur account is hacked its ur fault is utter trash. A lot of other game sites have been hacked and stolen accounts via the game servers where accounts are stored. It happens all the time, to say there is nothing they can do is complete rubbish. I will never play this game again for this reason alone.
