Thanks! Definitely makes sense to take all the frenzy charges with this sort of build, and I love that you don't need elemental auras so you can use Blasphemy instead. Do you always prefer Temporal Chains to Enfeeble? I wonder how the build would perform in T12 maps and higher maps as opposed to T6 ones...

Temporal Chains increases my poison DPS along with slowing the mobs, so I prefer it over Enfeeble on my Blasphemy. I plan on having Enfeeble to switch with Vulnerability on the CWDT setup in case of hard boss fights and red maps.

Update on the Chaos build!

I added Rallying cry which double-dips for poison, it really helped my clear speed. Also got a 6L QotF so that area is pretty well covered, gets up to around 50k tooltip DPS with flasks (Jade+Stibnite flasks increase DPS for this build quite significantly) which is about 150k DPS with poison added in.

For defense outside of flasks I have temp chains, enfeeble, fortify, and vaal grace. Bosses rarely land hits and I can leech it back up if they do. So far I've facetanked and beaten: Merc Izaro, Merc Argus, Volcano Boss, Chateau Boss, Quad Pernadus chest bosses on a T10 map, and just recently Village Ruin bosses with a +damage mod. I can even do double reflect maps!

Right? I tell people Dreamfeather's pretty good and they're usually like *shrug*, perhaps because melee's not really the rage (and certainly not evasion melee), but it works well once you get the gear, and the speed is lots of fun! Glad you got a 6L; that and flasks make things soo much easier. Nice work making a poison build.

Hey, currently leveling a wild strike champion QoTF character. Atm I'm planning to go 1h/shield to grab some efficient shield defence nodes to really ramp up my evasion to stupid levels. Just wondering what your reasoning is for not considering 1h/shield as a viable option at all. Is it due to using cleave and the way that scales with dual wielding? Anyways really enjoying it atm, and I haven't even reached a high enough level to equip any important gear yet!

There are a few reasons I don't like a shield with Dreamfeather. Primarily, you lose out on a bunch of attack damage. Dual wielding by itself gives a nice boost to attack speed, then you get the opportunity to use two Dreamfeathers, and two of those with a typical amount of evasion that comes from gear should provide significantly more power than one Dreamfeather plus a high evasion shield with shield defense stacking. Even with Dreamfeather + Soul Taker and a lot of attack speed on the tree, I think the damage will be higher than what you can get with a shield. From a defensive standpoint, block chance requires a larger investment than the five points needed for Phase Acro, and diminishing returns on evasion make stacking shield defenses less fruitful than focusing on damage.

This isn't to say that you can't create a successful block/shield variant. But I think if you eventually get to compare both versions, the shield version will feel inferior. I'd like to be proven wrong and see something new, though :) Glad you're having fun so far!

Yeah I just tested using two dreamfeathers and it instantly felt stronger. Also saves me a few points on shield nodes + better pathing. Also the Forces of Nature + Arcing Blows nodes seem to be really strong, just picked them up and my damage sky rocketed.

Nice. Arcing Blows is great if you happen to be nearby, and I didn't realize that Forces of Nature got a buff, so that's cool too.

Hi, I've been theorycrafting my own dual dreamfeather build, heavily inspired by yours of course.

Difference is, I'll be going champion for always fortify, elemental reave, innervate in reave to proc shocks and onslaught, and going to templar area for ele nodes and the aura nodes. Will not touch the shadow area. Whirling blades for movement, so I'll also be going for a rare GG evasion chest with life late-game. Basalt flask AND granite flask. Phase acrobatics + Atziri's step boots.

When i have the time and made one, I'm planning on making my own dreamfeather guide as well. I hope you won't mind? Will definitely credit you in the guide too (if indeed i do make one)

P.S all fun aside, i don't see how this build can do high tier bosses like Colisseum Daresso or Core Malachai. Their physical damage mostly cannot be evaded. Ground effects like those spinning blades can't be evaded too.

Fun :) My only concern here is Reave since it's one of the weakest skills I've used with Dreamfeather.

Of course I don't mind! I love to see what other people are up to with the sword, and I'm always looking for ways to improve the setup.

I've only gone up to tier 13 (I've never had higher tiers drop), but I would not want to go up against those bosses unless I was in softcore and didn't have any xp to lose!
