[1.3 Beyond/Bloodlines/Hardcore] "Budget" Ondar's AA Phys Wander aka. The Wandarcer
Happy to see you try it out! I know the pain of trying to buy gear in a quiet league, I gave up towards the end of Beyond. I played a lot though, so much of what I use(d) I rolled myself, or found.
Not sure if you're looking for advice, but here goes: If you can afford it, look for gloves with either higher accu + flat phys, or high attack speed + flat phys - it should do a lot more for your DPS than the rare ones you linked. Also, I'd take a look at sacrificing damage for more survivability, if you can! It's HC, after all :). If it's possible in HC, I think the easiest way to get a decent wand is to try to roll Flaring on an imbued, and master crafting from there (will take hundreds of alts, though). Now that Beyond ended, the skill tree I'm using is this (slightly different from the first post, mostly due to lacking accuracy on gear):

With that I'm sitting at 9k GMP, 36k single target, and 4.8k life, 3.3k mana at level 91. If you struggle with getting your per-hit damage high enough, I'd recommend swapping GMP for LMP. Effective damage ends up lower, but it usually feels better and safer early on. ALT+F4, YOU FOOLS! Last edited by atlimar#5918 on Nov 23, 2014, 12:18:39 PM

Updated the guide quite a bit, since the build is more established now than when I first created the thread.

Ended up speccing back into Arc for the time being, much quicker and safer to grind out levels at the mo. Will take your advice on gloves.. but probably not on wand crafting... I spent probably 1000+ already without luck. I think mine will do until the new league.

" Flaring has the same rarity tier like Tyrannical now! It seems 1000+ per roll! Actually the cheapest way is to roll tempred with granite flasks and hope for a good regal |

Hi,
I'm trying this build right now. As it was my first real character in poe your guide realy helped me. You said i should level up as arcer until level 78 and i should end up with a tree like this: But i already got that tree at level 69. Where should i spend the rest of points into? I took Doom cast to increase the arc demage before respecing. And the 2 crit points below Assassination. Now i'am level 74 and searching for wanderer geare. I got a perfect crit rat's nest for 20c and a friend gave me that wand: The wand doesn't have 10% crit, but it has alot of pdps(226). Is that ok? " What about Acuity? So you end up like this: Getting Acuity and removing 3 points from the wand circle would give you 6% more accuracy and 20 dex(20 flat accuracy and 4% evasion) for only 3% attack speed. @cuchio:
1. Do you know how expensive Acuity is? And they basically don't exist in HC, therefore it's not an option 2. You can add crit with Tora, 23-27% local crit for 2c or something like this :) Should be ok, but for the endgame build, you would look for a > 1.5aps > 10.5 crit wand with 200+pdps but there it's getting really expensive |

Cuchio,
Thanks for trying the build out, the wand you've got is pretty insane for a beginner wand, since you can add crit to it with master crafting as Ceratoidei said. Don't forget to add quality to it with Blacksmith's Whetstones! (make sure it's 20-27% Critical Strike Chance, not Multiplier - you can add this at Bowmaker's Tools) The skill tree linked at that point is the absolute skeleton of what I think is necessary, if you are about to respec to Wander you can start moving towards the wand nodes, or if you think you'll keep using Arc (I usually did until level 80+), I'd probably go for the easy to access crit nodes + pure lightning damage & elemental damage. Just remember that each of these nodes will add to the cost of re-speccing. Acuities cost hundreds of exalts. I'd recommend you to look for a high es+life 5L armour at this point, since as soon as you have one you can start experimenting with equipping your wand and testing stuff out. Start levelling the wanding gem set up, too. You'll need really good jewellery to make it feel good from the very start, and the build scales really well with additional levels (almost only pure DPS nodes after lvl 78). A slow wand will feel more inconsistent at lower levels, but you'll hit like an absolute truck. ALT+F4, YOU FOOLS! Last edited by atlimar#5918 on Nov 25, 2014, 7:43:57 AM

Hi,
With Acuity you got me wrong, i think. I don't mean the Atziri's Acuity Gauntlets i mean the skill point in the passiv tree. That's why i send another tree as a link;) " I already thought about that, but if i try to modifie it at Bowmaker's Tools i can't because the wand doesn't have space for more mods. Could that be because the wand is a bit older? The friend how gave me that wand has found it a few years ago. Or do i need to add the "Can have multiple Crafted Mods" mod to it? " I have this amour: With the rest of my setup i can use Herald of Ash+Herald of Ice+Clarity+Arctic Amour(lvl 15)+Grace. So i have enough mana. I'm missing 10% cold res and have 3557 life but i think that is ok. I have an arc dps of 5138(with auras). With that i normaly do lvl 70maps together with a friend and i don't die that often... |

The wand must have double stacked mods in that case, bad luck! (ipd, hybrid ipd/accu, and accu). With 8% base crit it'll feel pretty inconsistent, you'll only end up somewhere around 65-70% total crit chance, which can be a problem if you're soloing. Several non-crits in a row will require you to kite a lot. While I think you should try it out first, it might be an idea to buy a wand with lower pDPS and higher base crit if you can find one.
Your setup looks pretty decent for getting started wanding as soon as you have all the crit nodes, but Arc might feel smoother for now. You can probably make up for some of the lost crit by using Maligaro's instead of a pair of rare gloves. They are great for DPS, but I wouldn't use them if you were playing in a HC league. You can probably sacrifice some survivability until you start running 75+ maps. I looked at the tree and I understand what you mean, yes, that is absolutely a valid option, and quite possibly better. As it stands, I think I would choose 3% attack speed over the small accuracy increase. What I really need is ~400 flat accu on my gear, and my dps should jump to 11/12k :D ALT+F4, YOU FOOLS!
