I'm pretty you'll at worst be left with 1 HP, I'm using curses and other utilities with mana cost since I switches at level 17 without trouble. I carry a life flask to sustain those (life gain on kill would be nice for once) as I don't have life regeneration (Zealoth's Oath).

Two levels on Haste give you 1% move speed and 1% cast speed, I would rather put Discipline in there (or any purity if you corrupt it to 21).

Yes, after having written my last post, I instantly re-considered and put disc in the Alpha's :D
Are you sure about the no self killing? I asked in global chat and everyone said yes, it is possible to self-kill. So I really didn't wanna try xD
But if you can test it and verify they have patched BM self-kills away (because at some time in the past, it definitely WAS possible to self-kill using BM), this opens up new possibilities of course. Since I now have 80hp unreserved and a regen of 27 or so due to vitality, this would allow me to curse comfortably.
At some point, it used to be possible to suicide with the Blood Magic mechanism, what I can't remember is if it was with the passive, the support gem or both.

Disclaimer : Considering the following, I tested with the Blood Magic keystone allocated, so this shouldn’t be considered to be true for the support gem (especially for HC purpose) as the wiki doesn’t state anything about it.

I went to normal Mud Flats and switched my rings to reach a 1 mana cost Incinerate, note that with my setup, I have both Ghost Reaver and Zealot’s Oath allocated so my life doesn’t rise by any mean except potion.
- Continuously casting 1 mana cost Incinerate reduced my HP until I reached 1 HP at which point I can’t cast anymore while I technically have enough life to cast, which would resolve in a suicide.
- Anything that has a mana cost switch to an non-castable state a soon as I don’t have the cost + 1 HP making it impossible to suicide from higher mana cost casting.

Therefore, using your life pool to cast is safe with the Blood Magic keystone, so you can go on with both curses and low mana cost incinerate sustained with Cybil’s Paw.

Yes, I am officially the luckiest aura bitch on the entire server. Played a map, chanced a Mjölner - almost ripped while falling off my chair, laughing.
Sold the Mjölner, got the Shavs. So now, at a comfortable 5200 ES, I decided it was time to get back some damage.
Currently running Incinerate in the 5L, echo lmp added chaos fire pen. With two Elreon rings and vitality, I can just barely manage to fire for 6-8 seconds before I run out.
So eventually I will have to go for a Cybil's. I think I can replace atleast one of those Elreon rings with a decent one too, so that's a plus.

I do lose alot of range and the life leech from the wand, so would need a 6L setup :P

We'll see how it goes.
I can't shake the feeling that I might be better off dropping BM and going "normal" low life.
Having mana would solve all the skill cost problems and allow me to use AA which I miss a lot.
I couldn't run quite as many auras I know, but... how many could I run exactly?

And of course I'd have to get mana and mana reg on gear. But I would be able to drop Elreon's rings.
With an Alpha's Howl and lvl20 reduced mana gems, how many auras could I run?

Going back with mana, you could run twice and a half less aura on it and plus what you can handle on your life (probably two on a 4L).

Now here are two more aspects you should consider:
- Are you going to be able to run AA? You won’t have EB to boost you and you won’t get that much mana and regeneration from your tree, so you’ll probably have to run clarity instead of something else. Still, I’m not sure you’ll be able to handle a high level AA over cost of Incinerate.
- You can’t drop stun immunity on a block based Incinerate build, so either you get an Eye of Chayula and waste one of the slots you just freed, either you go back to Unwavering Stance (might as well get back Champion of the Cause then). Without these, you’ll be stun-locked by your blocks on every situation you gest repeatedly attacked (Tentacle Miscreation, Voidbearers, reflect packs, …).

Shavronne is great, to me it means permission to tweak the rest of your gear without lowering too much your ES pool, like getting a Doryanni’s Invitation, Alpha’s Howl and others.

I see Witch has lots of easy access to early ES , and to spell damage boost nodes.

Is Witch the best class overall ? For the end game ?
