[3.0] NeverSink's ♣ INDEPTH Tornado&Archer Guide ♣ Beginner friendly ♣ Rapid clear ♣ All bosses

I got you, thanks, noticing a huge difference in survivability already, last question I got is how should I link Barrage, currently I only have 4 link until I roll my chest to 6 so which order should I use? Barrage is currently a bit slower than my TS, but i think it's because it's only 4 link and level 1 gems lol

Yeah you need level +quality - as always (hint: level gems in offhand before you use them and never use 0 quality gems). Buy them with base quality. Some are very cheap - depends on the gem. Most Barrage gems are expensive. Tornado shot is cheap for instance.

Highest damage with 4l was for me in PoB: Barrage - Ele Focus - Ele weapon damage - phys 2 lightning.

But that is 2 blues and one red - so usually requires Voricci crafting. Slower projectiles would be my 5th gem, PPAD would also work. I did change the original tree a little bit, so dunno if this is best for you. Or put one phys gem in 4l - I recommend using Path of building it will show the DPS. Changing 1 blue (ele focus) to green and then take a phys gem would be cheaper to craft (only 1 red 1 blue).

If your TS damage is already very high to farm, you could also go for 4l TS and 6l Barrage.
I'm not at this point. So TS is still my main damage source. I just use Barrage occasionally. That would be the next step.

Only problem I ran into now is... CoH, Assassin, Innervate, HoT, spent a few hundred chroms trying to roll gloves to 4 blues.. (GfG right)... lol guess I'm going to have to CoH, Warlords, Ice Bite, HoT, for the GGBB, got a bit of cold damage from hatred anyways , guess Ice Bite will help, and I can use Windripper for some MF Runs when I'm bored.

I was mainly using TS only, doing 24k unbuffed.. I could farm 15's but it was a little hard with my life, I find myself running low on mana now with Vaal Pact, guess I'm going to level up Barrage Setup, and 6L Qotf... thanks for the help I really appreciate it
How you cap your resist on build 1? As for now I use different gloves and shoes with more resist. So wondering how you cap by using the gear you mention.
Hi everyone!

It's my first character as a ranger so still struggling with some mechanics but the gameplay looks great so far. My stuff currently:

Spoiler

I'm wondering on what I should focus first, I'd say rings but not sure though. Also I'm trying to craft a better bow to gain some dps. I still have few levels to do to get more life and to finish the leveling of my gems

Anyway this build is awesome and I can't wait to get more stuff to improve everything thoug

See you

4b on Eva gloves with chromes..is very expensive.

You can use Vorici jeweller crafting method which was explained couple of pages ago (there are videos on YT as Well)

However... I wouldn't recommend bothering with it, 6l and quality gems are way way more important.
Tbh I don't like the double herald setup for QotF (Grace+HoI..OP), but that's just my opinion.

If you can't afford a 6l for barrage,
what about pseudo6l? (Thunderfist, Tempests binding) A 4l barrage is useless and inferior to 6l tornado shot.

CWDT-IC-ID is OK, if you have the luxury of a 4l setup for it.
My 4l would be one of (enfeeble, vaal haste/grace). VH/VG just for saving sockets.
Another possible setup is CWDT-IC-enfeeble (ID is soso)

Curses: proj weakness on very strong bosses/AM on everything else for power charges.

PB Vs no PB

Yeah, no PB is "safer" but you are doing 1/4-5 of the dmg (an arbitrary number..but the difference is enormous), if you try to off screen a boss. Barrage proj. are missing a LOT, same with TS proj. which are all over the place but not hitting the boss lol.

Then your flasks run out and the boss is at 70% life or so. What's next?

With LG it's less of a difference but anyway. PB availability is literally one of THE strengths of proj builds.

Roll your flasks (alch of adrenaline, diamond of staunching, get dying sun)

Rings are meh, same with maligaros. Those force you into this awkward jewellery in first place.

P.S. ACCURACY

Keep/upgrade the rares. Too much res/attributes awkwardness with the Kaom's setup.

IMO you need Qotf to make unique boots work.
Hi guys,

I could use some feedback/pointers - how to improve my current Tornado archer:

My current gear:

I am swapping HH for my IED belt when I don't do T11/T12 breach map runs.

Life is around 4.9k due to the rings. (invest in steelrings with life?)

My damage in my hideout without frenzy charges is 75k atm.

Tree wise - my next 3 points will be +1 frenzy charge and "bravery" - for +8%life/24%EVA+Armor

I had to use some int/str. nodes due to the lack of those stats on my rings. (again, steelring upgrade?)

Gems will be gradually upgraded to lvl 21 which with the current gear setup should push me to 80k I guess.

I use Ice shot to generate power charges - Not sure if that's really useful. At hideout my crit chance is at:51.33%. Not really sure if the Ice shot/power charge setup is really worth it.

TLDR: Should I invest in steelrings to push my dmg/life higher, and potentially be able to remove 1-2 skillpoints and go for a - at later stages 7th frenzy charge?

Summary stats:

Char level: 93
Dmg Hideout:75.000
Life: 4.900
Crit Chance: 51.33%
Frenzy charges atm: 5
Armor: 1423
Phys reduction: 10%
Evasion rating: 6351
Chance to evade attacks: 34%
Dodge chance: 9%
Life leech from any attack: 2%
Mana leech from any attack: 1.4%
Attacks per second without frenzy charges: 2.67

I think I might should invest more into life rather than damage - yet, I am not sure.
My 2 jewels are also on the list of replacement once I have enough currency again.

Would be glad to hear some input.

In case you meant it seriously:

+2 TS on rat's, prob. some accuracy on steel/opals, diamond flask instead of hp-pot, +1quiver
Beyond that's it's mostly personal opinion/preference.
