Would it be possible to take off AoF and Cold to Fire and just play with "The Three Dragons, Golden Mask"? I think that would result in the same effect and saves you 1 SKillpoint and 1 link. I didnt tried it yet, i just think this could work.

I'll respond for the three dragons question:

Yes, it's viable and imo even better than cold to fire + avatar of fire combo. As you guys said you save 3 points and a gem slot (for life leech HC wise or other dmg supports). You lose the duality of cold and fire passives but it's not really an issue since my build has 3 cold nodes total only, which can be skipped with no problem and replaced with elemental damage nodes in templar and shadow area (or even more life in templar area)

I planned this build because i'm usually a poor man and can't afford uniques at the beginning of the leagues and because i wanted life on all my gear, but three dragons is more than viable and also has very good all res mod, i'll try this setup for sure as soon as i get a 3D

Also keep in mind that the "gain 10% of cold damage as extra fire damage" works as a direct increased fire damage which is very nice, also with AoF setup you can still use added cold damage which is again a great boost to damage

Ice spear with increased crit damage, prolif and cold to fire can also deal quite good single target damage as long as you can stay at distance.

The only things that cause grief are really fast high hp mobs and summoned skeletons from bringer of bones, Catarina quests or strongboxes since they're really low hp and don't leave corpses behind. Fractured beyonders would probably be pain as well due to the same reason, but I haven't seen those yet.

Sorry i literally had no time to update my guide but for leveling i strongly suggest to not use this build until level 50. As you said elemental prolif has too little range and critical chance is still not optimal, you need at least 300% crit chance from gear + passives and 300%+ multiplier for a good dmg output

I can confirm fractured beyonders are a pain, but not that much because they get oneshotted by a single crit. You just have to snipe them one by one..

With 3D you'll still do cold damage (it just makes cold ignite instead of conversion) so you'll have to scrap the fire nodes. That means the witch topmost fire nodes are useless and you're spending 2 points on travel to get to the corresponding cold nodes.

Still might well be worth it.

Or u just leave the Cold Nodes on the Top side alone and take the Elementel Damage Nodes. They have less & but scale the Burn Damage. The only really sad Part is u loose the 2% Cold penetration.

man i got 1 question, for more dps is better cold to fire + avatar of fire or three dragons?? and in case of using three dragons will the links be ice spear + crit dmg + cold pen+ ele prolif + burning?

1 more thing if you use three dragons you can grab the elemental equilibrium to leave the resist of the target by the floor with lighting ball + gmp

Or some Flame Totem w Gmp and Prolif to spread Shock.
