Yo mate, very nice guide. I thought of doin an auramancer based on mortal convinction before the league started, but I didnt do it coz i feared it would have been too costful (i was wrong).

Didn't thoguht about summoner version though. I had some questions, since i've never done a summoner character:

1) Since minions are also spells, why not take Pain Attunement?
2) You use Midnight Bargain. Its good to have one more specter for havin more damage (and, if eva, more def coz more chance to stay in proximity shield), but honestly i dont like at all the 30% life reserved. So any other wand would be ok?
3) Never used Necromantic Aegis, so Im not sure how it works: does it give all the stat you read on shield (block, defence, implicit and affixes) or just a part of them to minions?
4) How can you play maps without Arcane Vision? You shouldnt see anything so you could be shotted by everything.
5) To control minions, you go against monsters and then backtrack? Or is there another skill useful to control better their IA?

1) even tho the minions are spells, the damage they do is first of all, not affected by our personal spell damage, and second of all, the low life clause would have to affect the minions instead for it to work on them.

2) Well, here's a little thing that comes into my mind: what the hell would you else do with the 30% life. No other aura's are really worth running (determination doesnt do anything since we nor minions dont have much armor, wrath, anger mayheps but they dont buff significantly, more purities isnt needed at the same time). And, it adds 1 evangelist (about 10% of our damage) and another zombie (nother 5% of our damage) and it gives minion dmg, life and speed... Moreover, the aura's that you would be able to run arent particularly needed by most partymembers since they either run them theirselves (wrath, anger get ran by ele buzz anyways, determination is niche for aegis aurora)

3) it gives all the stats of the shield to the minions instead of you. Saffells means that they get +4max res among others

4) well, you can still see, but harder. I never actually died to not seeing something so I never bothered leveling 3 more levels to get the damn node

5) default attack. its the perfect direction skill. For quicker and riskier stearing, go forwards, concovate and step 1 step back to have your minions in front

I see, thanks for explanation.

2) You sure that anger and wrath would not be a great boost to minion damage? Especially with all those aura nodes, and with supports on minion (like minion damage, and multistrike).
4) So, you can stay far from minions without them being outside of auras?
5) Default attack means u do shift+attack in order to aim the monster you want the minion to attack, while not exposing yourself? I thought minion would attack and go automatically

2) Considering the base physical damage is a lot higher than the base elemental damage an aura (even with aura effect) would add. Wrath adds 122.5 which goes up to about 250ish and anger adds 103 which goes up to about 210ish. Lvl 24 zombies do about 1200 average, meaning hatred not only scales this better, but also affects our evangelists, whereas wrath and anger only affect zombies, and doesnt even get affected by hatred or the multistrike %melee phys bonus either.

4) yep. My auras reach about the upper corner of my screen. If Im not close enough to my minions Im doing something wrong.

5) default attack means the basic (non-skill) wand attack ;) It aims the minions because they try to aggro the same thing you're aggroing.

@Nonamium It looks good. The problem with the zombies dying in courtyard is unsolvable apart from a single vaal grace. Same counts for Megara. Even vaal disc is in my experience a bit clunky.

Im missing your hatred and haste btw, hope you are working those back in later when you move back to bones of ulr?

Hey leary93 I thought I would share what I cooked up since I got it into maps last night. My gear needs work. Other than the uniques I used what I had in the stash. I am in dire need of some chaos resist which should be easily achieved since I currently have 200 fire and lightning resist.

So I did blood magic a bit different than you, I went through the prism guardian and maintained my mana pool. I am also using the grasp which I know you have had some words about. However I have always wanted to use it and I am pleased with the results. I'm also using the ever popular SRS.

The build feels incredibly powerful, I am face rolling up to level 70 maps so far. Clear speed is pretty up there thanks to vaal haste and flesh offering being used as much as possible. Vaal discipline is typically used when I encounter a huge undying pack, a boss, or an exile.

Only downsides are 3.3k es and -60 chaos resist. Once these are fixed i will try out my 73-77 maps. Boy would it be nice to have some bubbles though. Right now my only defenses are grace (40% evasion), arctic armor (level 11), and flasks.

I've never played a pure ES build, not having instant flasks is pretty scary.

The idea is nice, I wouldnt ever go bm with srs btw. Its just too hard to sustain, so I dont disagree with the choice. The reason I did was because I just didnt need to use much spamming, wanted mainly a relaxing build that can farm content easily but still is fun to play due to positioning etc being the important part, as well as I loved building it. For the chaos res, I wouldnt try to focus on that, its not important, for the ES, the numbers literally give that montreguls is inefficient in damage. Since you use srs they dont need to do superdps, but just be really tanky. On this same note, you could try to manage to dump Purity of elements, since montreguls, the 16% from tree and base res of zombies is enough to cap them. On the same note, try to 6s your solaris (this is really cheap) for the pure sake of putting more utility in there. Consider using Rainbowstrides because your mana based and consider getting GG es gloves because you really dont want to run around with 80es gloves :P

Good point on the purity. That was kinda left in there from the leveling up phase. I am pretty sure I can run anger or wrath in its place.

I would just change the prism guardian up to do Grace, Discipline, Wrath/Anger. Then run Clarity, Haste and Hatred in my chest.

Good idea on the rainbow strides too. They have decent es (more than my current boots) and a good chunk of mana.

As far as the zombies yea they are meant to tank. I was going to run Minion life, Melee Phys, and multi strike on them, but i got 3 reds when trying for 2 so I just kept it.

I may 6 socket my solaris, though I'm not sure what I could add with more sockets. The first thing that came to mind was a skelly totem. Have any other ideas?

For the 6socket, the utility may range from offerings to v-skills, curses or indeed, skelly totem. It really doesnt matter apart from that it should buff your weaker parts of the build.

@schrapner, thnx, I really appreciate the oppertunity of it, since I really like making builds either way, this way I can get the name out a bit more and start putting more into the PoE community

A little update as I am lvl 81 now and never had so much fun in a build. I also have health issues and this build takes a lot of strain of my mouse hand, so anyone that has problems with RSI or arthritis i can recommend some joy!

I also like to congratulate for the build of the week, well deserved bud!

My gear has been updated since I started to balance myself more, and i am proud of it!
