It's true - you're going to find it a challenge to get legacy crit multiplier on a temporary league. ;)

How vital is unwavering stance? I don't mind the occasional death, but without unwavering stance would it be just unplayable?


Because for me, since I'm planning on using 1 wand and a shield, I could actually get all the same aura's without spending those points to go get Mortal Conviction and unwavering stance. I can pick up 12% extra reserved mana from nodes that are all right next to nodes I already have, and then do this:


Aura's Running off Life:
Prism Guardian Shield - Haste / Discipline / Purity of Elements
96% Life reserved


Aura's Running off Mana:
Purity of Light / Fire / Ice + Herald of Ice
87% Mana reserved


I'll get the same aura's (except vitality which I wouldn't need anymore)

I'd save 10 points which could be spent on extra crit nodes, or extra ES if I found I was a little low due to the prism guardian.


The real question is, without unwavering stance, is the build a no go?

hi i was trying different combos in my 6L , in your opinion is good to put on coc:

freezing pulse + artic breath

freezing pulse + ice spear

artic breath + ice spear

i was thinking to put 2 cold gem on coc to maybe gain some more cold dmg leeched

They are all good. It's up to you which kind of playstyle you prefer. :)

For reflect maps going dual cold spells is definitely recommended since it doubles your effective leech compared to half cold half other element.

I personally couldn't live without unwavering stance because I HATE getting stunned and desync as a consequence. This is all up to your preference, though, so I suggest you try out both and choose whatever you prefer.

I vote for keeping unwavering stance. I don't mind the ocational death other. But I do mind the way I die. Like if it's me been reckless then I get a lil upset. But if is a stupid game mechanic. Liked sync or getting stun locked. Man that really sucks. I personally sudgeat you keep it :).

Yeah unwavering stance does sound like a good idea, but then again, I don't have it on my split arrow ranger and honestly I never notice. Of course that char has a good amount of evasion so maybe that's why I don't notice it, but I don't know. I've also had other characters without it and didn't notice it then either. Maybe putting up with the odd death due to stun would be worth all the points I save.

I'll spec into all the normal nodes, but not take unwavering stance. If I find I need it, I'll just add it. If I find I don't, I could regret out of that whole lower left side of the tree and throw those points into crit nodes and ES. It really doesn't look like it changes the build. You just switch from ES shield to Prism guardian and it's all pretty much the same. Add some ES nodes to make up for the loss and do the rest crit.

The most important will be what happens during Atziri runs without it. Mapping I'm sure I won't notice it. Mobs should be dead well before you get surrounded.

it is one of the most waste point in poe imo. Only reason to get it would be BM gem and aura nodes near Unwavering.

defnitly its not a waste if u play lowlife builds........its a must for this kind of builds, even more when u dont have armour or evasion

Hey Tom - exceptional build, buddy! Your guide came along just in time for me to dedicate most of my currency to it and I am really enjoying it.

I was just wondering if you could take a look at my gear below and tell me what I should be looking to replace and with what.

My guess is you will probably say the Amulet and recommend either AXN's or Kevshien's and if that is the case I did want to ask - considering the effectiveness of this build, essentially blowing all other builds out of the water, has there been any word of someone making jewellery dedicated to facilitating this build?

Obviously, if this is the case and it has already been done, I would love to know who did it so I can possibly obtain Mirrored versions.

Please let me know what you (and anyone else) thinks and whether there are opportunities for optimization.
