The Herald of Ash : A Physical Bow Build
" I got lucky drops of Alphas Howl and Drillneck. With these, I decided to focus more on survivability. Ideally you want a created harbinger bow, but high end ones will cost multiple exalts. The mana reservation nodes and Alphas Howl allow me to run Grace. My piece of shit Harbinger allows me to leech and gives me one of my flasks back. The original build was designed to be a super budget solo map runner. Infractem and three dragons are just right for that. |

I still don't understand what three dragons is for. In the build of the week video chris wilson states that hoa's prolif isn't affected by destroyed corpses (build uses pyre).
" Two reasons. Shocking. No corpse destruction. This isn't always a problem, but sometimes you will accidentally shatter a whole pack and ruin some of your corpses. |
great to hear that you got your drillneck ;o)
still no luck for me.. at least i got a harbinger bow, i used 2 ex and 1 eternal just to still end up crafting one damn +2 life gain per hit on it. was little down (waiting till i got my master lvl 8 to unenchant and try again).
Spoiler
with LMP, hatred and HoA and a 0,49 atk speed i got around 14.3k tooltop dps (63,2% crit chance and a bit over 400% multiplier) - my hit chance without infractem dropped to 80%, which is okay for reflect and doesnt matter whole pack clearing at all - build currently (standard crit shadow:
edit: had hard times on a damn double reflect 18% zana map haha.. had to kill with single target puncture -> crit burning did the rest / died one time though, had a bad crit reflect roll :-/ Last edited by gloobonious#3560 on Sep 4, 2014, 1:37:06 AM

Running this build with a friend who is doing an elemental on-hit buzzsaw aura build.
Turns out when he is running Wrath, my Three Dragons causes that lightning damage to freeze (and then shatter) corpses. Should I consider dropping Three Dragons and run Pyre instead in this particular instance? |
Wait, does Pyre work with this build?!

" It does, but it's kind of a waste of a ring slot. You'd be better served with a ring that has +physical damage and some +% fire damage. I would much rather have strong defensive rings If you have absolutely nothing better, go ahead and use it, but there are much better alternatives in my opinion. |
" I wouldn't 6 link the Puncture then. I'd 6-link the HoA. Probably with reduced mana and grace. |
" Only if you want to eat the Increased AoE gem cost on your Grace. |
Good point. Scratch that then.
