Last week we announced our plans to revamp many skill gems and initiated an ongoing news series where we will continue to discuss what we're working on in this area. Our first skill revamp post included a few examples of skills that we're working on and discussed the overall direction we plan to take in this process. Since Content Updates 3.1.0 and 3.2.0 introduced new skills with the latter including a full Ascendancy Class rework, we're excited to announce the first episode of Season Eight of Build of the Week! This episode showcases an Assassin that takes advantage of its Ascendancy changes and uses Molten Strike to hit the same target multiple times and rapidly deal a lot of poison damage. Normally we'd wait significantly longer before discussing what's coming up in the next large content update, but there's one specific area that we want to start discussing early: revamps of existing skills. Our plan is that each content update going forwards includes a batch of revamped skills, starting with June's 3.3.0 release. We're still in the early code prototyping stage for these changes but we'd like to make this an ongoing series of articles detailing our thoughts and progress on the skills we're changing. We're launching a competition to design the best Path of Exile T-shirt! At the end of the competition, we will select one or two designs to be turned into a Path of Exile T-shirt and make it available to the community. We will also be awarding prizes to the most compelling entries! Read More.

One of our goals with Content Update 3.2.0 was to take a holistic view of the Ascendancy classes and rebalance (in some cases, entirely rework) them. The goal was to bring them to a similar level of power, as well as to create stronger class identities and provide mechanisms for both existing and future content to hook into. Read More.

We've just released a collection of sea creature-themed microtransactions, including the Kraken Shield and Weapon Effect, the Seawitch Armour Set and the Coconut Crab Pet. Press the Menu button in-game to check all of them in the store. Read More.
