That is average damage per hit not some bullshit tool-tip number. It's not a Mirrored Loath Bane either, and I'm not running three pimped-out damage auras on top of it. The whole point of Viper Strike since the gem's first release has been its usefulness with a fast, low-damage weapon. If I was willing to revise the entire build to use a high-damage weapon, why would I even bother with Viper Strike any more?

You don't need more than 200 max damage on a weapon to hit over 3k in one hit, even with multistrike. Also have you seen how huge the weapon buffs are?
