my duelist build guide, for starters, hope this helps

I got similar build like your, but I'm aiming for dw instead
BoomExplosion - Templar (BOOM!)
_Sistar_ - Duelist (currently rerolling him)
FakeShooter - Ranger (meh LA, iceshot rangerrr)
FakeMaster - Shadow (might start when I get everything)
does chain instead of lesser multi. work well?

Hi,

This looks like a very fun build!
I'm a starting duelist (actually, i feel i am still a starting player), L28 atm, and i'm currently melee specced (DW):
My build:
http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgQABS0OrRHVFFIUdRcdGNshYDrtQKBDnEd-U99Xl1jbW69gQWBLdO108XrvhNmE75stm4OeuavFvqfB2N0N

At the moment, it already takes quite some hits to kill enemies and i'm in A3 normal still. My main damage is Double strike for single damage and sweep with life gain for AoE.

I have no idea what to expect in future acts, but if i read correctly it will be very tough.
Do you think it is necessary for me to respec and what is the best way to do this you think?
I was planning to go for both lifenodes now, i guess that is still a good idea.

Tx for any advice already!

Sweep/double strike can work for sure, but you need to make sure of a few things. 1) if you plan to go Iron reflexs, make sure you have tons of armor, if you dont, make sure u got a good amount of EVA and ARMOR. Since you are always in melee range, consider speccing for 6 endurance charges. That means helping oak in merciless bandits, grabbing the endurance charge my the duelist path, and grabbing the endurence charge by the templar path. Then use enduring cry to generate endurence charges.

Since you are sweeping, you wanna have tons of physical damage life leech. Blood drinker, Warlord's mark, (blood rage only if u have tons of life % regen, like 5%), as well as the life leech gem.

You wanna have a good amount of life, preferably above 3000, closer to 4. The entire point of the build is to be in the midst of combat, sweeping away while regening lots and lots of hp. Good luck to you in your endevours.

It depends kinda on what u feel like doing. Putting chain on instead of LMP will result in less overall AOE, but an increase in damage in a smaller area. If that makes any sense.
