Remove only tabs converted instead of getting new tabs

I'm very annoyed with GGG atm.
I've bought many premium stash tab bundles in the past and regardless of any remove only tabs I may have had at the time, I've always been given a set of six brand new tabs. Let me be clear, my remove only tabs have never been touched. This, it seems is now no longer the case. My last purchase of a premium bundle resulted in GGG converting six of my remove only tabs to add/remove tabs. My complaint is this: 1. As this had never happened to me in the past, It was not made clear that this would happen before I made my most recent purchase of tabs. 2. Which tabs get converted? The fullest tabs, the one with the least in them, or is it simply a random pick by GGG. GGG have confirmed via email that this is indeed what has happened and presumably this means that it's now the way things will work in the future. I've asked that GGG show to me, the terms and conditions which say remove only tabs get converted and pointed out that if they're unable to do this, I expect a full refund. my email requesting a refund has been sent up the line "...for their consideration", so presumably that means they may or may not respond. Actually been giving this a lot of thought since I started wondering if GGG did this on purpose or by accident but trying to decide if it's a good thing either way.
I'm waffling between it makes sense to do this because theoretically GGG has never stated that remove only tabs are there forever. The fact that people do use them for free stash space instead of paying probably does hurt them as well as the god knows how much extra server space for all the tabs. Eventually people who ignore those remove tabs and they accumulate to some ungodly number is going to be to much to be sensible. I've always been of the opinion that the Remove only tabs should be a limited time thing. Give ample time to remove the crap in them but 4 months down the road? Remove only tabs sitting there should disappear, I don't agree with them being "free" extra stash space forever and ever. Absolutely the remove only tabs should NOT ever be able to be linked in a sale thread. So with that said, in a realistic world, when people purchase more stash space they should be buying stash space to get rid of the remove only tabs. In GGG's eyes they are making the click and move in the very small inventory space much easier and eliminating the god awful, annoying, time consuming task of manually moving the items into the normal stash out of the Remove Only. I absolutely spend hours and hours after a league ends sorting, cleaning and making room for the Remove only items in my stash and selling off the rest to the vendor. Remove only tabs bother me. They are messy and I can't let them stay around in a league I'm going to be playing frequently. I would probably BUY tabs if this was promised that the new tabs would make the remove only to normal tabs because holy fuck TIME SAVER - LOVE YOU GGG! I hate HC and even go there to get rid of Remove Only tabs because I don't want them to accumulate to something that's going to take forever if I start playing it. Anyone saying that they will refuse to buy more tabs just because it changes your free remove only tabs to normal tabs so it prevents you from being a pat rack to a higher degree, well I don't know what to say to that. GGG sells stash tabs - giving them for free every time a race, league or event ends seems like it REALLY doesn't make sense. TLDR - Remove only tabs need an expiration they shouldn't last forever. After much thought I hope GGG keeps this change if it was done on purpose and not a bug. Even if a bug they should go one step further, make it permanent and a promised feature of new tabs and add an expiration on remove only tabs. Currently Remove Only tabs are being exploited. They were never intended to be permanent stash space. Hopefully GGG gives these Remove Only tabs an expiration date in the future. I've spoken to customer support about this and they have confirmed that

A further email reply from GGG had this to say " Based on that response, I think it's fair to give GGG some time to consider what's going on. BTW: I agree with others comments in other similar threads that we shouldn't necessarily expect to have unlimited "free" remove only tabs and I can certainly see that GGG would want to address this in the future, but I think this recent change to the way the remove only tabs work has found it's way into the game without prior warning and is probably catching out GGG support as well. I don't have a problem with this, but I think it should have been made clear before purchasing that it would be this way. Especially since this change is new.
If you buy 6 regular stash tabs, I think you'd get 6 new ones. I don't think they would convert remove only tabs. If you buy the upgrade to premium mtx, would it convert remove only as well? Guild Leader The Amazon Basin <BASIN>

" i was thinking the same as in the long run the old stash tab handling will lead to a clogged up item database as a potential part of the players is playing in the temp leagues only. but if they start to delete readonly-tabs after some time this timeout has to be long enough that players who stop playing in the middle of a league and come back in 6 months or so don't lose their efforts. imho 1 year would be appropriate. i don't mind purchased tabs replacing readonly tabs in general, it really does make sense as a convenience feature so you don't have to shift items from the readonly tabs to the new tabs yourself. but i'm strictly against changing the mechanic behind it without prior notice. a question i'm just wondering about: if i have a premium tabs becoming read-only tabs in the parent league and i purchase normal stash tabs (which will replace these tabs): is this turning the normal stash tabs into premium ones and giving me a free stash tab upgrade? or is it turning the premium-readonly tabs into a normal tabs which will remove the tab's descriptions? age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

so basicly you are upset because you use remove tabs as regular tabs and thought you are really clever...
and now all the stored junk you had in a remove tab converted to a real tab and the estimated new tab is nonexistent you know those things are called remove tabs for a reason ? this comes close to the guy who complained that malchais mask doesnt work after changing zone and he has to regear it everytime to snashot his auras and called it a bug it should work all the time in his opinion imho ggg should give a deadline to remove items everything that is not removed is deleted https://poe-ssf.herokuapp.com/. The frustration is understandable but the most reasonable response to your complaint is either for GGG to put it in writing or put a 30 day (or whateva) expiration on RO tabs. The squeaky wheel gets the grease, but it is not always the grease you are looking for.

Those saying that Remove-only Tabs should have an expiration, that's just a stupid idea..
What about Race Rewards? You want them to just disappear? Or players who quit or took a break, thinking their items are safe, only to login and see that the items that were in their 4-Month League Stash is ALL gone... You can't just change something that people expect to work one way, to have an expiration, that'd only hurt other players in the long run... It doesn't hurt you in anyway. Everyone has the ability to get Remove-only Tabs, albeit some may somewhat "abuse" it, but still.. And it is only relevant for Permanent Leagues, which GGG, nor most of the player-base, care about.. And the players that make the most [ab]use out of the Remove-only Tabs are the ones that have already BOUGHT a ton of Stash Tabs in the first place...
