Development Manifesto Update: Snapshotting
" you'll have to use a prism guardian and keep it equipped |

although I do agree that snapshotting is a bit of a cheat.. it does seem that you've tuned several of the enemies and bosses and maps to the skill levels you can get from it and not what normal players can get....
generally dangerous

" Snapshot was an unintended exploit. Obviously, you should not be able to have skills active without the gear they are placed in. It's that simple. I'm glad this exploit is being closed :D |

Sooo what ur saying is the last 400hrs of game time learning mechanics + saving up and buying gear was all wasted time...perfect. Hard for me to wanna keep playing now. If your gonna get rid of snapshotting at least nerf atziri fight so it is possible to beat her w out it, tnx.

I must say the way they seem to be going about this snapshot change is exceptionally disappointing. It smacks of; "We didn't want you to play that way, its OUR GAME PLAY IT OUR WAY".
If this snapshot change came with a number of changes around the Minion Mechanics to enhance the gameplay style I personally enjoy, the "Sheperd", following around a horde of minions, nurturing and supporting them everywhere you go, I wouldn't be so disappointed. I've never been much of a twitch gamer, I don't really have fast reflexes, so the ability to have a build that let me sit back a bit and be a bit more relaxed, little more buffer between me and needing to react immediately to everything that happened, well it really allowed for me to enjoy this game. I guess the thing that bothers me most of all about this change is that the neat things people figured out around snapshotting isn't being considered valid play. Instead of figuring out how to balance it in with other crazy builds, while preserving the play style, Grinding Gear is just wiping it out. This diminishes the game, pure and simple. Fewer options is one step closer to that blizzard mentality of our way or the highway. One step away from truly interesting gaming and one closer to that commercial ideal of Dragons Lair. This should have been removed a long time ago, with the offenders being banhammered.
