Path of Exile on the Gameplanet Show podcast
Wow, I just listened to the whole podcast. I am really pleased to see that the leader of this company has so much know-how and yet that part of him has resisted the passage of time in terms of making the game mainstream based on short-term gain.
Keep up the good work Chris and GGG! I thoroughly enjoy playing your game and will continue to do so. Furthermore, I sail the seas under a black flag with skull and crossed bones, if you know what I mean. The only titles I own are D2 and D3. I am trying to support PoE as much as I can! I feel any money I spend on PoE is money well spent! Last edited by horizon21#2586 on Feb 1, 2013, 8:38:02 PM

Coming into this game I was blown away by the complexity yet seamless integration of the skill system, how the game engine is able to handle the multitude of polygons and high resolution textures, and over all great communication from the team and moderators. After listening to your pod cast about how you guys had a vision and have stuck to it trough and trough and continue to hold to your ideals and vision gives me great pirde to play around in your masterpiece.
Your blood sweat and tears have birthed glorious fruit. In a direct compition with a company that brought the ARPG genre into the lime light you guys have crushed them under foot. With continued support and development you guys have a VERY bright future in PC gaming, no questions. It's going to be very interesting to see what the next year brings because you guys have come from out of the blue to deliver a shock and awe upper cut to one of the biggest game companies to date, if they haven't started taking notes and seriously working on how to shake up their paradigm you guys have managed to swiftly dethrone a titan at its own game. I LOVE the situation you guys have thrust the ARPG gaming world into and am VERY excited to see what comes from it, I'm rooting for you guys at GGG because your efforts thus far have been sincere and carried out with conviction. Happy 2013, and welcome to the Big Leagues, you guys have earned it ^_^ |

"Shock and awe Uppercut". I like that.
As for the podcast. I actually now have a NZ gaming studio I can be proud of! Eternal support for my fellow country men! *Buys a Weta* but god damn it, someone needs to do something about our outlandish bandwidth costs here, I need a local server for this game to play hardcore.... |

I don't think this is a good place to ask, but I give it a shoot.
Any news on new patch? The realm stability is poor. During evenings there are huge lags and lots of DC's. Any plan how to deal with them? |

"Check the podcast, they touch on that topic. Essentially the servers are doing great except when a certain issue arises between European Server and other Server's, then it all falls to pieces. They are working as best as they can to resolve the issues causing it. Listening to the beginnings of the company made it even more impressive and inspiring...
And I lol'd at Chris' reaction to Diablo 3 beta, because it was exactly the same as mine (and most original Diablo fans) "What is this cartoony shit?" Path of Exile makes Diablo 3 look like sesame street, and I dont dislike the art style of D3 at all, I mean its extremely well done for what it is - it just doesnt fit Diablo at all Honestly, Ive been waiting for another game to enter beta to play, and I came to PoE only as a curiosity, because there is nothing else worth playing out there... But the game grows on me every day, and Ive already spent hours theorycrafting with the passive tree... You captured the replayability factor of Diablo 2 perfectly, which consisted of remaking characters over and over in search of the "perfect build", and youd think it would get boring to go through the same acts over and over, but it doesnt, because each character plays differently, and the maps being randomly generated also helps a lot GGG reminds me of the old Blizzard, when they were small, focused on releasing great games, and especially before they contracted the Activision virus Lets hope it stays this way for years to come |
