Since the new patch I get a set of errors on attempting to log into new characters.
It starts with:
Audio/Sound Effects/Skills/Duel Strike/Duel_Strike_6.ogg: Unable to create a buffer: 40963
Then when I click "ok" three times it moves onto:
Metadata/Characters/Int/Int.act: Unable to create a buffer: 40963
After clicking the above error 3 times the game client closes.
Everything worked well before the newest patch, however now I cannot seem to get the game to run past character selection. Any ideas?
Just for clarification, I can log into my legacy characters, this happens when I attempt to log into a new character in the default league.
Same thing happening to me, I'm redownloading the Content.ggpk to see if it fixes it.
Please let me know how it works when you finish, thanks!
Also, another update. The first error seems to change, however the last error always stays the same.
Didn't work. Not in the mood to redownload the entire PoE folder though, to see if that fixes it. So, to be continued :$.

Can anyone help me out? I ran the command, but I'm getting this error:
err:msi:copy_package_to_temp failed to copy package L"/path/to/msi/PathOfExileInstaller.msi" to L"C:\\users\\markellickson\\Temp\\msi2ed.tmp"
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Actually put in the path to the .msi file.
I highly doubt you have a /path/to/msi directory on your system. :)
(Probably something more like /user/yourname/home/...)

Another question— I finally got it running (had to do it without sound) but it's somewhat choppy. Is this normal for Wine, or is there a setting I'm missing somewhere?
Thanks!
EDIT: I'm getting between 15 and 17 fps. Surely that's not correct.

I run with all AA/filtering at minimum and post-processing disabled, you could try that. Disabling sound was also a huge performance boost.

Disabling the post processing did it. Runs flawlessly. Thanks so much!
