Should we spec out of the Inner Force since the nerf? Any other ideas on skill tree changes?
IGN: SilentWrath
I would assume we still want Inner Force. Power Siphon isn't going to cost any less after the patch, and we'll be gaining less mana through Eldridge Battery due to the nerf to ES nodes. I don't believe we can sacrifice the 18% increase in effectiveness to Discipline and Clarity, also Inner Force is on the way to Conduit anyway.

As for changes to the skill tree, it'll have to be wait to be seen. If we're able to drop life nodes because of the reduced monster damage, then it's possible there will be changes. If not, then likely not many.

The changes to physical damage, if it applies to wands in a significant way, could also possibly make a change to the tree, but again, we'll have to wait, and test, before we have any information.

planned after IF nerfs

Those crit nodes hopefully gives dps back I'd get from IF and more hp should compensate a bit lost survivability. I'll still get all life nodes possible. Clarity will be buffed so manaregen is same still, I got enough mana to run all auras still, so outcome should be around same but with less hp on mobs =).

Let's see

Build Weaknesses:
- Very gear dependant
- Very weak mid-game leveling build
- Lower life total than most endgame builds

As it was listed, it requires good gear in order to work well, not necessarily anything godlike. It might be tough if you don't have Life on gear. Accuracy is a problem too but Projectile Weakness is a good workaround for it

You should try it yourself. Unless you get some good drops you'll have to buy some gear off the other players. Other than that, there should be little problems as long as you have enough Life to survive.

Thanks :) I'll try.
Get +40 maximum hp (from help oak) is very important in this build? Becouse in normal i killed all bandits.
Hey there,

what do you think?

I only got a 43 Templar and was aiming for Tanky DPS before, but now something changed.

I play this char only in a group of three.
One of my mates is tanky DPS Templar, one a cursing DPS Witch.
So for me it will be full support DPS Templar.

This build before the patch seemed like the best one for my means.
Do you think the patch changes still left this build more or less viable? (I guess it will, but who knows?)

And do you think I can follow the guide so far (remember I am only lvl 43) without skilling into the wrong direction, even if small adjustments by Kripp or someone else will be done?
Or do you think I should wait until this build is updated?

Long story short...

Will there be big changes in the passive skilltree after the patch or only small adjustments?

And the second question:
The first points do not go into increased AoE, but I wanna support my mates with my auras. Will the AoE Range without those still be wide enough or will they stand outside of my Auras half the time?

Greetings
EM

ps Very nice guide Kripp!

Elemental damage nodes on Templar tree got a slight nerf (-10%) but I didn't really notice a difference. Inner Force experienced some nerfs but it's still a good pick as it is on the way to Conduit, so feel free to spec into it if you go for Conduit.

As far as I know, Radius of Area skills does not affect Auras.

Overall, Ele Wanders weren't hurt much after the patch. The HP nerf was quite noticeable tho due to our usually low health pools.

EDIT. Forgot to mention about the Static Blows nerf: We deal mostly Lightning damage so the Shock duration we apply is already quite long thus the -25% less duration isn't that bad of a nerf for us.
