[Official] Kripp Wand Templar

Just a quick question, see a lot of reworking of a Power Siphon templar, variations on kripp's etc.

is there anyone who has tried an ele power siphon Shadow build?

cheers,

I'm sure people have done so; you could make a very similar build from the Shadow start, though you would probably have a harder time leveling until you could use Power Siphon effectively (having reached the Static Blows and Catalyze node clusters with a decent crit chance, plus EB). After that it is po-tay-toh/po-tah-toh; the Shadow start offers 6% attack speed, 3% movement speed, and 24% projectile damage instead of 40% mana regen, 31% elemental damage, and 10 all res. Each choice can eventually, theoretically (IE at very very high levels), match the other. In fact, the optimum end build for a Templar might even include the starting nodes for a shadow, depending on the gear your templar uses, and I think without a doubt the Shadow should eventually try to get all of the starting nodes the Templar uses.

Tl;dr version: Shadow probably starts a little slower, but in the end they'll both get to more or less the same place.
Hello people!!

Im a CI elemental wander shadow and please... i want you to tell me what nodes should i take and what should i fix in my build , im lvl 67 atm and im very undecided... i dunno if i should go to the templar path for taking elemental dmg nodes or taking the mana nodes over the power charge node on the witch tree... im very confused :C

this is my build:

Been trying an E.S. low life blood rage alternate version of the build lately.
Its definitely interesting and fun, still testing and trying to work out a few things but the blood rage increased attack speed when on low life is quite nice. Though I would not try this if you are new to wanding.

Essentially because you're not using eldridge battery, you reserve the auras on your life instead to get to low life to get the bonus of the blood rage buff, the remaining auras go on your mana, your AoE will then need to include mana leech to support the cost.

Build and stats below:

Having great fun playing one of these guys on HC... upto level 68 now.

Finding good gear to trade for has been a bit of a hassle though so far.

how do you deal with reflect?
Once you transition from hitting like a girl to hitting like a truck and realise you can one shot yourself if you're not careful you learn to control your trigger finger. If its a single or small group of reflect its pretty much not a problem, just stand way back, granite, enfeeble and fire your AoE, firing single target is insta-death. In the most dangerous case which is a sizeable pack of mobs I do the same steps, just take out the increased crit gem and weapon elemental. ... and wait for charges to drop if I was full charges, so your damage drops dramatically.

When I was on the life build I would take out the weapon elemental and swap it with a life on hit gem so you have life leech, life on hit, granite, pot, stand back, enfeeble and kill it with a much tamer aoe damage. This would be the easiest and safest way by lowering your damage by temporarily taking out the gems if your still scared to kill yourself.

I would not do elemental reflect maps of course.
