[2.3] Shakk's Cyclone Build. A story about a man and his fists.
Hello, I've never done a cyclone build before so was just wondering, how do you sustain your life if you attach blood magic. Thanks

" Life Leech and high life regeneration per second.
Giving this a shot with my self-found account, since I 5L'd my Lightning Coil and found an Abyssus and Facebreaker while mapping with my Blood Magic Arc build.
Here's my gear and planned 100 pt skill tree: Here are my planned links, if something seems off let me know: 5L Cyclone, BM, Melee Phy, Faster Attacks, Conc Effect 3L Light Warp, Faster Cast, BM 4L CWDT 1, End Cry 5, Warlords 5, Inc AOE 4L Purity of Light, Grace, Haste, Red Mana 4L CWDT 20, Im. Call 20, Vaal Grace 20, Inc. Dur. The reason I'm going for Purity of Light is for when I get Reduced Mana to 18 and pick-up the Sovereignty skill line, I'll be able to run all three auras which will help with Lightning Coil. I should be able to hit 60 tonight after work (I'm 53 now), so I look forward to giving it a shot. I haven't been able to progress past lower 70 maps on other self-found characters on this account. " Yea I've resorted to chancing heavy belts, lol, such a waste! But I realize how good that belt is for this build. I didn't think Meginord's is that common, but I could be wrong. I've only had one character above 80 on this solo self-found account, others have been mostly in 50-70. I'm hoping this build can run mid 70 maps at least, so I can farm up for a build that can run high end content, maybe even atziri self-found. But yea, hope I can find that belt soon! Glad to know everything else looks good. Was trying to decide what to include on my low level CWDT. Don't really love Inc. AoE. Molten Shell effect bugs me with it constantly going off in higher maps. Maybe Artic Breath for the chill ground? *edit - holy shit I just got to 60, switched to cyclone + gear, and I'm mowing everything down. This is incredible. " You should really try to get one of those belts, they go for a few chaos at most, you could try to contact me ingame, I think I have one in my stash. Seems the next patch will do some changes on Duelist starting area, hopefully for the best. Last edited by ShakkaFL on Nov 21, 2014, 6:56:39 AM

After the merge I tried this build (with some minor changes) with one of my dumped character, since I have no intention to play in Standard I got me the max non-legacy FB roll... and it doesn't feel right, damage was nice, got 17k armor, decent block level considering, but it simply feels too squishy because of Abyssus (have a perfect 40% roll). My take is, very nice and fun build, but for Standard... and maybe if you gathered some OP wealth in the sofctore challenge league. Wouldn't recommend it for hardcore tho.

" Build was never meant for Hardcore :) . You're better off trying the build with a BoR or something if you do HC.
" I just found one in Stagnant Canal :) I appreciate the offer though. So far all my characters on this account are 100% solo self-found, and I don't plan to change that any time soon. It's been a real challenge but also truly rewarding. The speed and damage of this build is fantastic. By far the strongest character I've made on this account. I switched from Vaal Grace to Vaal Haste once I learned Vaal gems don't trigger on CWDT :P Although Vaal Grace doesn't sound bad for some boss fights, I'd rather have a clear speed boost that I can constantly use. The only thing I'm unsure about now is my 4th link in the low level CWDT. I have CWDT 1, End Cry 5, Warlords 5, and my unsure link is Inc AoE. Can't think of anything else better to replace though. Anyhow, thanks for the guide. Look forward to jumping into maps with the build this weekend.
" Not at all, exciting changes on the tree. I'll post some thoughts about it once official tree is out (since they're still balancing it they said)., So far it looks like slightly less block, but more damage (way more damage) and armor, should balance itself out.
