I have been complately following your guide and made it to 57. Cruel to Merciless transition has been painful because I couldnt get ressist gear but someone helped out and im almost immortal. Thanks for the guide so far !

Made it to 68 and got myself a BoR. However I am having trouble finding a shield as good as yours. When I look for those stats some insane priced shields pops up on poe.xyz. When I say insane price, I mean Mirror of Kalandra insane btw.

Same here, folks recommended me Lioneye's Remorse as a stepping stone. Considering it atm.

Funny, there's almost always a 1 mirror price there in xyz.

1 mirror for stuff like this? Never... I payed something between 5 and 15 chaos for this. ;)

Never pay more than the (non legacy) Aegis Aurora price for a rare shield, as this is the best for this build (for any block based build, to be precise).
You can get one of those for ~4 Exalted Orbs, so any rare alternative should be below this, pay 5-10 chaos or chaos/alch one for yourself.
Life + additional block + some resist on a 30% block base item, this isn't too hard to roll.

u should get something else than carnage, it reduces ur max life -25% that a lot
get for the amu phys dmg some life leech and 1 resist(~20%)

2nd swap ur first ring, for phys dmg, life and resists

7. Save up a shit ton of moneys for a 400+ DpS sword or a Mirror of Kalandra. Good luck on that one!

I wouldn't spend too much on the amulet slot.

You can use a stone of lazhwar "corrupt fail" (still with +30 int, not something amazing), as spell block is great and you will actually need the int for the "conc effect" and "item rarity" gems.

For rings:
Life > resists > physical damage > int> life leech > mana (if not using BM gem)

The logical Shield upgrade is Aegis Aurora.

I'm currently running a 1h mace marauder, slighly different tree, but the items I'm using are pretty much the same ones you could use on a sword marauder:

I love my stuff, most of it is linked/alched/chaos orbed/exalted by myself... ;)

I run a 6L chest + Devoto's mainly because I love the look of the helmet (I'm not spending money on microtransactions), it's not really an upgrade to BoR.

Just made it to 80. I steamroll over everything except chaos for obvious reasons. This is my first lvl 50+ char so I can say this guide is %100 noob friendly.

Managed to make few exalts im thinking about aurora as well but do you think I should consider changing my tree after "free respec" hits ? I got no Energy Shield atm and Templar side of the tree looks more promising in that matter.

It all comes at a cost. You can remove the ranger nodes for the templar nodes, but then you will struggle to have enough Dex.

You actually don't need too much ES for an Aegis build.

If you manage to get to around 400, which you will get from 2-3 minor affixes, maybe armor/ES hybrid gloves, some intelligence and "increased defenses from equipped shield", you are already pretty much set.

With 20k armor, and I'd consider this pretty tanky, you get 400 ES on block.
So whenever you block, you get all your ES back.
Allows you to afk in random mobs, even if you don't have your block maxed out.

But of course you can also go for templar.

I'd recommend a Lvl 85 tree like this for BoR/Aegis with Templar zone: click me.
With more skillpoints (Lvl100), include both of the 18% life nodes.
Again, a transition into this is not needed. But if you really want, go for it. ;)
