Best possible use of Immortal Call

I've been tinkering for a while. My idea was to best possible utilize Immortal Call gem. These are my thoughts: 1: Start as Scion, cause it is the middle of the tree and we can get fast to relevant nodes like the Inner Force circle to increase the duration of Flasks (Granite/Quicksilver) and the duration of Immortal Call. 2: Use the Inner Force Circle in the Passive Tree. 3: Use Cast when Stunned gem. Reason: When you use Cast when Damage Taken: you have to take a fuckton of damage before it triggers or you are forced to use not max leveled gems. So instead of it use Cast when Stunned. 4: When we are use Cast when Stunned then it is logical that we can go with Chaos Inoculation. Since we only have 1 Life we can get stunned all the time. 5: For maximum Use of Immortal Call wee need a shitload of fast Endurance Charges. I believe the max Endurance Charges we can have is 7. We link Enduring Cry to cast when Stunned and use another one as one of our active Skill gems. 6: As Curse we use Warlords Mark (also on Cast when Stunned and an active skill). 7: To make this build more Immortal we use Block Nodes, so we need a shield and a Stone of Lahzwar unique. 8: Since we take CI we also take Vaal Pact. So the direction is clear: We need always Endurance Charges, Max Block Chance and Maximized always on Immortal Call. Questions are: What can we use for kill? Would it be Hardcore (Self-found and fresh economy) viable? Links would be: On a 4L: Cast when Stunned, Immortal Call, Enduring Cry, Increased Duration On another 4L: Tempest Shield, Life Leech, Reduced Mana, Added Lightning Damage and thats pretty much is... Immortal call with cwdt setup + enduring cry is awesome. Has saved my ass from double maze Vaal before.
This with another link using cwdt + level 1-4 enduring cry. The low damage cwdt to proc enduring cry to get endurance charges right away and built up. A few secs later / more damage taken sets off the 2nd cwdt proc to get max endurance charges(usually works out) and proc immortal call for a decent amount of time. So helpful in facetanking phys damage attackers. I'm a 92 duelist and it helps me keep up a very fast pace in higher level maps. | |

I don't really want to use the CWDT gem. Follow up reasons: You have to take damage, I hate taking damage. You cant fully level gems and have to stop at some point, not good, because you can't use max. Increased Duration gem. I believe that with Increased Buff Nodes and Increased Duration Gem you can push fully Leveled Immortal Call gem to about a minute of duration. That would be awesome. When you Block you don't take Damage, cause you block obv., but you still can be stunned. So the idea is to maximize the immortality (for HC obviously) with Immortal Call and Block Mechanic. Plus there is a very nice synergy with Cast When Stunned, CI, Vaal Pact, Tempest Shield. The auras you should use is either Discipline or Purity of Elements. " Inner Force does not affect Flasks at all (they're not Buffs, they're Flasks), and the only thing it does for Immortal Call is make you 121% Immune, as opposed to 100% Immune. " There's not much use for a CwS EC if you already cast it manually anyways; they share cooldowns. Also, EC on Stun can be a fantastic source for Endurance Charges. @2) what exatly is Inner force for? to increase 100% damage mitigation with IC? @4) with CI stun is determined by your life value as it would be without CI (so your life is not 1 when it comes to stun calculation) other) where are skill/buff duration passives? summary: sorry to say that mate but this is far far away from best use of IC ______ few tips (not saying I know THE BEST possible use :)) all buff/skill duration passives would grant you 120% increased ic duration kaom ring gives you +1 max end charge quality IC/duration gems, empower, enhance will increas duration (I believe its possible to reach more than 20second duration) My experience. One of my builds was Mace Stunlock Marauder. I took all stun treshhold passives (+ mod on belt) I used 2H pDPS mace (5L) with heavy strike+melee phys+faster attacks+stun+ENDURANCE CHARGE ON STUN - worked great even against unique bosses and was able to gain 7 charges during 4-5 seconds and immortall call casted manually (my duration was about 8 seconds)... " Ok, point with Imortal Call taken. But with the flasks, I noticed on my RF Scion that since I've taken the Inner Force circle my flask duration (of Quicksilver) was increased from 5 seconds to 6. here is the tree:

And because of that I thought that Inner Circle would increase Immortal Calls duration. " Inner Force would also Increase Tempest Shield and aura usability. If the stun is calculated with the total life without CI, then how comes is that the CI chars always get stunned and have to use Eye of Chatyula. Either Way, CI chars do get more often Stunned than other chars. Cast when stuneed is best for CI users, sure..

The posted Tree is from my RF Build Scion, I dont have a build for IC right now.
I dont know what kill skill I should use. And I dont know right know what gear I should use. Kaoms Ring is nice. A Shitton of ES items, sure, etc etc. | |
When building about IC I would go life/2H mace/Stunlock with Heavy strike(described in my first post) and Ground Slam (again not saying its best - its just how I would make it)

Thank you for the advice. But I got few problems with that.
First of all: I don't like 2H chars and I want to use Tempest Shield, so I need a shield. Second one I dont have many experience with 2H (in any game btw.) and would fail badly. Since it is a gear dependent game (for fucks sake, sadly), I would only waste a ton of self found currency in a fresh league that I would spend better. Third: I am familiar with CI and 1H+Shield builds, so the gameplay and leveling would be alot easier in new leagues. So, now I've a build:
