Well, this just got slightly more amusing;
The person who Lolozori just quoted to back up his claim actually confirmed that he WAS wearing a tricorne when the rod dropped. Go to ibex post history, bottom of page 6. Game, set, match. Get rekt. What he was saying is nonsense was the eternal stuff, and that's because it turned out to be for the Krillson event, not the initial rod finding.
