Ask the guy who just found his rod. If he didn't find it in Coward's Trail then he was wearing a Fairgrave's Tricorne....

so he's saying outside of Coward's Trial, you need that imprint to find a fishing rod. I think.

You actually just need the Tricorne afaik, though there seem to be other things that increase the rod droprate. The imprint is for when you meet Krillson, or at least it seems to be, I have to find him again to be sure.

So if I wear the tricorn it increases my chances of that drop correct? And you keep saying "afaik" whats that mean?

You can't find the rod without wearing a Tricorne unless it's in Coward's Trail (which ignores drop requirements). Feathers and other stuff greatly improve the chances of it dropping, but I believe the Tricorne is an actual requirement.

afaik means as far as I know (ie, not sure).

so, i've gotten my 10 feathers, only to findout apparently i don't need 10 feathers? :), ok, so i want a rod. i need to use my only eternal on a fairgraves tricorn then stop wearing my alpha's howl and wear it instead? then just farm at random with my 10 feathers in my inventory and hope for a drop?, i'm not quite ready to use my only eternal to imprint a crappy ass headpiece that will hurt my RF build.


can we please get a sum-up, i've read this whole thread and i'm still not 100% i've understood what you're supposed to do.
