Macro Legality List

It is actually very disgusting how GGG knowingly does nothing about the fact that the number 1 Nemesis player keeps advertising forbidden trade chat macros on his stream.

These type of macros are fine, 1 input = 1 output (aka hitting f1 only does 1 thing)

plus you're not doing this to gain any advantages, you're just working with shitty mechanics.

if we could bind these commands to a key via ingame key settings life would be easier. if we could right-click an item in our invy and auto-change equips life would be easier.

this isn't an ancient 2002 game where you have to take off your old equip, then drag your new on in smh.

If it is true that his macro, in its current state, is illegal, it can easily be rendered legal by splitting it into 2 macros (change channel, post), which you just click back and forth. I think banning people (not to mention streamers who are basically a free marketing campaign) due to ignorance is excessive, but i'm not GGG.

Of course he doesn't know it's against the rules. Who in their right mind would have a popular stream, and then knowingly use a banned macro? Do you think someone would be idiotic enough to stream Maphack? Cuz that's exactly the same thing as what you're saying here.

Someone who is confident that he won't get banned for that offense.

Until streamers get banned, trade macros are legal. It's as simple as that!

I've updated the OP with GGG's responses, as well as links to legal macros. For illegal ones, i've added the reason in brackets, as well as a description of what they did so people have an idea of what isn't allowed.
